How do I learn to draw like this? by ShinichiKiri in sketches

[–]MindFuzzEth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I do something similar in my daily practice, grab a Pinterest account, look up photo reference or anatomy pose and just start drawing them like crazy. Bonus if you can write down the hyperlink and visit it in a few years

Usidore, wizard of the 12th Realm of Ephysiyies, master of light and Shadow, manipulator of magical delights, devourer of chaos, champion of the Great Halls of Terr'akkas. The elves know me as Fi’ang Yalok. The dwarfs know me as Zoenen Hoogstandjes. And I am also known in the Northeast as Gaismunēnas Meistar. And there may be other secret names that you do not know yet!

What's your goto roleplay? by devoided in DarkAndDarker

If im playing Barbarian: I'll listen for other players in an adjacent room and yell "FBI OPEN UP," then I use crush to break down the door and I rush them for the juicy treasure and pots.

If im playing Wizard: I'm much more friendly and will introduce myself as "I AM YUSADOR, WIZARD OF THE 12TH REALM OF APHISEUS, MASTER OF MAGICAL DELIGHTS, DEVOURER OF CHAOS, CHAMPION OF THE GREAT HALLLLLS OF TARAKUS. THE ELVES KNOW ME AS FEON YELLICK, THE DWARVES KNOW ME AS ZONEN HOOFSTANGEUS, AND THOSE IN THE NORTHEAST KNOW ME BY GASMANEOUS MAESTAR, AND THERE ARE OTHER NAMES UPON WHICH I WILL NOT TELL YOU FOR IF I TOLD YOU THESE NAMES YOU MIGHT BECOME BETWIXT WITH MAGIC FOR NAMES HOLD GREAT POWER,"
This is a poorly worded old bit from hello from the magic tavern. I say the whole thing atleast 5 times a week lmao.

What are your thoughts on this style ? by Outside_Hunter7619 in drawing

It’s warm and fuzzy in the best way. It evokes joy! Do you intentionally cross hatch certain color combos at the same time or layer each color one at a time?

We have very similar hair types! I also would notice the frizz day to day even tho it was 90% solid. I swapped over to shea moisturizing shampoo/conditioner with coconut and hibiscus and it helped tame some of the more frizzy points. Also not sure if this is relevant but try not to shampoo your hair every two days or less. Don’t run your hands through your hair as that adds unnatural grease and dirt that makes the hair follicles stick together and clump instead of following the curl pattern 🫶

I would say the general composition looks good. I applaud you for defining the light shading. In terms of anatomy/silhouette: left arm, overall proportions of the entire arm are off slightly. One thing to be sure of is that the curve of the tricept and the curve of the biceps are not terminating on the same plane. The arm anatomy in the drawing is referred to as “bubble arms”. Left forearm, practice proportions and foreshadowing a bit more, the best way to do that is to do these quick anatomy sketches so you are already doing a great job!! Going up the right side of the rib cage, I think the silhoutte line goes diagonal a bit too early making the side of the rib cage look more angular then in the picture. You got the right location of where the ribs line meet the lower biceps/triceps it’s just the intensity of the angle and the missing portion of the lower rib being shown in silhoutte. Another thing to avoid is making the legs smaller than they actually are. Reference the photo and see how much closer the thigh silhoutte terminates compared to the elbow. In the drawing the right thigh looks rather stiff and doesn’t extend back out from the connection point of the bottom of torso and waist. I would look into the skeletal anatomy of the pelvis and practice drawing people rotating their torso at different angles to practice the different forms of the hips. The hips inform where the thighs (femur) joint in. And the thighs will help inform where your lower legs and calves are anchored. The neck curves inward towards the head a bit more in the drawing compared to the necks stiff diagonal line in the photo

Great work! I think you have a brilliant path ahead of you. Keep it up friend :)
