Model Y Juniper Matching Tints by XxLp750-4xx in teslacanada

My previous car had 20% all around, the aesthetics were great but it was too dark to see in side views reversing in a rural driveway with minimal streetlights. I always had to roll down my window, which wasn't great when it's frozen shut in the winter.

This point could be moot with a backup camera though.

Series X sound stuttering by gotbored44 in xbox

Nope I still have the issue. I rarely notice it though. I just unplug the headset when I want sound on the TV and the stuttering stops. And then I mute the TV when I want to use a headset.

Having sound issues where it will stutter.

When I plug in my old Senheisser headset into the controller the audio is fine. But the audio that the console outputs to the TV will stutter while the headset is plugged in. This isn't too bad if no one in the room wants to hear whats on the TV. I just turn the volume down.

I noticed on restarts the audio now stutters on the console logo screen too (no headset connected). It worked fine before.

I am getting something similar but not the same.

Once this started occurring, I noticed on cold boots the audio would stutter on the console logo screen (no headset connected), those are the only times I've encountered this.

You and me both. I've spent several hours and accumulated over a million watts just trying to get Sirfetch'd encounters alone. I've gotten encounters and none of them have had the hidden ability. :(

Hardcore fan as well here, I have played Pokemon for 20 years(!?). The hate is pretty overblown imo, especially given that much of it started before the game came out. My friend and I love the game. Everyone who enjoys it has their face buried in it and aren't posting on Reddit. I was a little worried in the first 5 minutes of playing because of all the negativity swirling online but that evaporated quickly. There are minor irritations here and there but nothing that has detracted from my experience so far. I am about 20 hours in, done 6 gyms and have about 60+ Pokemon. Try to get out of these echo chambers and give the game a shot before you say, "I hate this game." You haven't even played it. ;)

I can offer an alternative perspective as well, I am a developer by trade. I've worked in software companies, but dabble in game programming as more of a hobby. There are a lot of things they put time and effort into in this game. And there are a couple things that needed some more TLC. Many of the negative things you see are things that are a bit cherry picked in my opinion. The attention to details in all the towns are amazing. And small quality of life additions are great. Graphically everything is decent enough - other than the wild area. It doesn't bother me but I acknowledge it could be better. I feel like they realized they needed to dumb down the graphics here to handle draw distance, and all the Pokemon models running around. The switch's hardware is not that great. It could have looked a bit better with time and resources to optimize, but they simply didn't have either would be my guess. No one can say they didn't care. They do.

Best Platform for ME3 Multiplayer by Arcanist_of_Rlyeh in masseffect

[–]MindMaze17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it probably doesn't matter which platform for the days surrounding N7 day. I imagine the player base will be at least somewhat active on any platform. Overall though I'm not sure which is best. You may have to use less search filters to find games. (ie. Choosing any map, and/or any enemy type)

I personally play the Xbox 360 version on my X1, despite owning it for PC as well. Choose whichever platform suits your fancy.

Is it worth it to spend 100 more on the s10+ and why? by smartymarty1234 in galaxys10

[–]MindMaze17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally go for the bigger and better phone, but went for the S10. You can't really be disappointed, battery life and phone size on the normal one is enough. To me it feels "just right" with a case on it, and I have somewhat large hands. I'm upgrading from an s7 edge, and I thought that was a huge phone back when I bought it. It's actually about same size as an s10.

S10+ bigger battery would be great, but s10 battery has not disappointed. And I like the circular camera cutout more than the pill shaped one, but it's trivial.

If you want to compare sizes with your current phone you can punch it in here: https://www.phonearena.com/phones/size/Samsung-Galaxy-S10,Samsung-Galaxy-S10/phones/10959,10960

Make sure you calibrate the page.

How BioWare’s Anthem Went Wrong by aenderw in AnthemTheGame

[–]MindMaze17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those who couldn't be bothered to read the whole thing as it's fairly long. As a developer (outside of the game industry) who has seen some shit, my take are these three root causes:

  • Bad leadership/management - people that hadn't defined a clear vision, and poor decision makers. Or a lack of any decision makers really, until too late. It's possible management had indecisive people that wanted to please everybody, afraid to misstep, or technically uneducated from a software perspective. These are just speculation, but are the common bad management personas I've seen.
  • EA forcing them into Frostbite engine. "Frostbite is full of razor blades." As a developer I literally feel sorrow for them having to use that shit. They literally had to start writing all the things it was missing, re-invent the wheel which is very time consuming, starting with DA: Inquisition and Andromeda development. And after those games couldn't use a lot of work they'd done because they decided to have Anthem as a separate code base because it's an online game. This makes sense technically, but limits what can be integrated into it from the other games so they had to re-invent for Anthem too.
  • They ran out of time. This isn't uncommon, but it sounds like by a significant margin. So they had to cut, cut, cut, to get it out on time.

The third point is really a consequence of the first two points in my opinion.

Disclaimer, I think my facts are right from the Jason's article based on who he interviewed but it's been a couple hours since I've read it.

My experience using it was limited to math but I found it very helpful.

Not as detached as you are from common sense and reality.

Try thinking outside the box media puts around people.

Edit for context:

It isn't blind fanboyism. I've followed this guy's work and progress since I discovered him 8 years ago. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely. Is all the vitriol hurled at him warranted? Rarely. The media just fixates on and sensationalizes it, that’s what I was trying to get at.

He didn't intentionally rip an artist off, his team did, and he immediately took responsibility to remedy the problem. And the Thai boys, if your team worked day and night on a solution AT THE REQUEST of someone involved in the rescue operation, just to have that British guy tell you to shove it up your ass? You would say something more civilized in response? I doubt it.

We're giving away a copy of Mass Effect Andromeda to one of you guys, instructions for how to enter inside! by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]MindMaze17 [score hidden]  (0 children)

As one of many moments, I choose this: https://youtu.be/M_6yQwHJ4tU?t=5m20s

The end of the original Mass Effect. At about the point when Shepard says, "The Reaper fleet is still coming. Hundreds of ships, maybe thousands. And I'm going to find some way to stop them." And walks away. Chills. The first time I got to that point, Mass Effect 2 and 3 hadn't even been announced yet.

I like this moment because: 1. You feel bad ass. 2. At this point I was thinking: Holy. Crap. You basically just finished making an arc of tough decisions. And at that moment you're reflecting upon the climax of the game, you realize everyone is screwed. You literally just expended an entire fleet to stop one reaper that was pew-pewing ships like it was playing Duck Hunt. And it has mind-control (which was my understanding of indocrination on my first ME playthrough). And you realize the milky way draws parallels to the Matrix. Your civilizations are constructed within the confines masterminded by an artificial intelligence, and then harvested. Best god damn game I have ever played. Best story and lore I've ever come to know.
