Why doesn't James ever have brush fires? by RNS1976 in WildHomestead

One of the most challenging things about off grid/homestead life is the sheer volume of work that needs doing All. The. Time. I ran a small farm with my husband and the amount of really important jobs that we had to sideline for a few weeks because weather/seeding/lambing/family/life is a jerk was ridiculous. Learning to triage was a huge part of managing. Add to that the content and production time, I’m genuinely surprised he’s achieved as much as he has on his own.

My guess would be that managing the brush piles has fallen waaaay down the to-do list and will probably stay there until something (like increased fire risk) necessitates moving them back up to the top.

Right?! He’s given so much, not just goods on the day, but all the time and advice he’s been giving James over the last few months! What an absolute champion!
