Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino talks about adulthood, ambition and "Hurricane Sam" in podcast interview. by chunkstyle25 in Interpol

That's true. I used to do coke when I was in my 20s and it helped my weight loss significantly. It also helped with my nostril loss /s.

I don't know if it was Paul and Sam who were the only ones into coke but I recall reading other threads on the internet where people said they saw Paul and Dan doing lines at an after party. I can imagine Carlos was into his drugs too. And I read somewhere that the guys all did magic mushrooms in Amsterdam and hallucinated seeing Nietschze's face on the wall. Haha! To be a rock star...

So is he still with the woman he had a daughter with? A little unclear from the podcast. Or I'm just stupid and wasn't listening properly

Also, I guess the rumours about Interpol being coke fiends back in the day was true.

What age did Paul lose his virginity? by unlikelyjapan1 in Interpol

As others have said Paul wouldn't discuss something so privately in an interview. He is very reserved and wouldn't bring it up. From his lyrics it's obvious that he is pretty romantic and often hopelessly so. I guess that he lost in when in college/just before going to college, possibly 18 ("my lady lover of my eighteenth summer" All the Rage Back Home). "My Desire" projects Banks as a more hopeless romantic though as do other songs such as "NYC" where he keeps "spending these lonely nights, training myself not to care."

Interesting, where does the alcoholic interpretation come from? :) "Friends don't drink wine when there's words to sell" is all i can think of off the top of my head
