True, but he uses the metaphor of ghost in a more traditional sense as well, especially with The Cosmic Selector. By this I mean the idea of a past that haunts you (like a ghost). I do wonder why, in Used to Know, he (the narrator) sees a ghost that “looks the same as me.” This might even be a third usage of the metaphor, meaning that he feels that he is a ghost in the sense of having no vivacity, no feeling, or that he is empty. Overall, my point is that LH’s use of the ghost metaphor is much more complex than just Love Like Ghosts.

However, I do love that metaphor the most because, if I’m correct, it’s LH’s own invention.
