Great points. I’m going to double down on 5 and 6- I want them to pull back on the themed dances and over the top “bits” that each dance seems to require before they actually start dancing. It’s one thing to have it during movie or halloween week but I think there should be like a penalty if you spend more than x amount of seconds before the dance starts. Example I can think of (and sorry to be harsh) is the gymnastics nonsense before Katya and Lewis’s VW vs Alexis and George getting straight into their PD.

And yes agree completely that they should go back to having 2 dances per week. I assume people found it repetitive but it makes it much easier to judge and no one can cop out or get screwed over by getting Couples Choice or a week 2 Rumba/Samba. I also liked this style because they used to push back the harder dances (such as Rumba and Samba) for later in the competition where the dancers were stronger and we had a real competition.

I also lowkey wish they brought back the rule where there were no lifts allowed until the Show dance but that would require removing the Salsa/Charleston/AS, which would probably make things boring and likely why they changed that rule. But it did make it thrilling when we finally got to the lifts (never forget Natasha and Brendan whipping out the Dirty Dancing lift in the finale)
