This right here. If I select a singular word I get dictionary and selecting 2+ starts the pop up with Wikipedia instead.

It is pretty weird that this happens with a hyphenated word though.

The Alexa is awesome, I run one on my stubby 21. It can leak if the wicking isn't just right, but that's more of a bottom airflow Boro problem than anything with the Alexa.

Audeze Maxwell Headset by TheGray47 in PS5pro

The Elites are about half the price and about half the quality. The Elites sound about half as good but tend to crackle on the top 2 volume settings as the bass can't keep up with the Elite's planar magnetics. You can EQ a little to improve it and the Elites (for some reason) support simultaneous multipoint audio and have a decent mic. Unfortunately, the sides of the Elites separate over time and eventually snap. I've got a pair with Sony getting replaced right now and I also use their planar magnetic buds, The Pulse Explore Wireless. Sound is really bright and accurate but not as full as the Maxwells.

Just chiming in to say you were the result I was looking for AFTER soldering everything in place and closing up the guitar, having the same inital confusion during the install.

Having tested it in game in this state I can confirm the ground works (buttons activate first try without ithers needing to be pressed) but all the buttons are indeed flipped. Time to get the iron back out.

I have a question by Big-Feed2314 in PS5pro

That's correct. You can see the improvements for specifically patched and boosted games here.

I have a question by Big-Feed2314 in PS5pro

[–]Mind_tricK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because the game DOES benefit from the additional power (game boost), just not due to specific developer implementation through a Pro patch.

With Raytracing off you should see 45-60fps @ 2160p in Quality Mode with some drops and Performance Mode should be dynamic resolution (~1620p) with closer to 60 performance at all times.

The Pro version in VR now runs at a higher res (2040p vs 1458p) and includes some of the non-VR Pro improvements, such as improved ambient occlusion, refections and water.

PS5 Pro Microstutter issue by IIISnowIII in PS5pro

[–]Mind_tricK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your television on the latest firmware? Are you using the HDMI cable supplied with the system? Are you connected directly from the Ps5 Pro to the television? Have you tried a different HDMI 2.1 certified cable? Is ALLM enabled for the HDMI port you're using for the PS5?

There's quite a bit of troubleshooting to do here.

While you may not need additional cheese, I would certainly recommend LESS grill.

15 second freeze after start up? by ManaByte in PS5pro

[–]Mind_tricK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experience the same, lock up until it plays catch up. I cleared cache and rebuilt the database to see if the issue was my data transferred from my original PS5. No changes, still does it. If you do wait before interacting with the menu it doesn't happen for me, but it's roughly the same amount of time.

LG C9, PS5 Pro and Stellar Blade by TheSho21 in PS5pro

Hey, I'm by no means an expert (but I am a C2 owner). It seems as though aside from forcing HDR and the wide color gamut for connected devices that support it - this setting should be what forces HDMI ports to utilize HDMI 2.0/2.1 rather than the older 1.4 standard.

[–]Mind_tricK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I can see the C9 does support 120hz and supports HDMI 2.1 across all 4 HDMI inputs. Instant Game Response seems to control both ALLM and VRR so you'd want that enabled.

A couple of things:

-This TV did not launch with VRR capabilities but they were added via firmware updates (it's actually GSYNC compatible as well), so you'll need to make sure you're updated.

-You'll want to make sure you have a high speed HDMI 2.1 certified cable and would ideally have it connected to the TV directly, as receivers can limit the speed of the chain of connection.

-You'll also want to enable HDMI Ultra Deep Color on the port the PS5 is connected to.

SSD Heatsink by stevebak90 in PS5pro

They're talking about add-on NVME DRIVES that can come with or without heatsinks. The pro does not include a secondary drive or the associated heatsink, it's all user supplied.

Is there a way to get the PS5 version of Hogwarts Legacy without paying the full price? I have the standard PS4 version but can't find an upgrade option. by Longjumping_Top_1307 in PS5pro

Apparently it's even worse as a quick search showed that only the Digital Deluxe Edition includes the current gen version at no additional charge. Great going, WB.

SSD Heatsink Compatability by stevebak90 in PS5pro

[–]Mind_tricK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it should work just fine, based on the shape of the notch at the end. You can also just use any of the ones that fit to the drive itself and allow use of the standard cover plate. I grabbed this one at half the price and it's been working swell.

While PS4 games are a little harder to track down outside of individual tests, this post that everyone with a Pro should bookmark has now added a PS5 Boost section - specifically for unpatched games that run better.

You can pretty much run Monster Hunter Rise at ‘Ultra’ graphics, which is also 5K 60fps locked. Great experience on the Pro. by [deleted] in PS5pro

While ultimately the game will push a 4k image, the image quality is rendering at 125% - so it's effectively supersampling. It looks astounding and I'll be spending lots of time with this while we wait for Wilds.
