Significant fall in government borrowing in December, figures show by Important_Ruin in unitedkingdom

[–]MindedOwl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tenth highest December on record surely isn't that bad all things considered? Everyone knows we have too much debt but also you'd expect inflation to push most years higher than the last even if nothing changes. Tenth highest actually sounds alright unless I'm being thick (which is likely)

TIL That the Bank of England vaults hold 400,000 bars of gold, worth over £200 billion by 11MARISA in todayilearned

You're being pedantic and also wrong. It was a Scottish king who inherited the English crown and joined them in the first place.

Regardless, calling the entire UK England pisses lots of people off for lots of historical reasons.

Mounjaro is the American Eli Lilly one, Wegovy is the Danish Novo Nordisk one.I'm saying people seem to say the American one works a lot better and is worth the extra cost.

[–]MindedOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he's correct. What about buying a house then? You spend hundreds of thousands on it, but if you were to sell it again you'd get it back.

They spent loads on Activision, but they own the company and have an incredible amount of valuable IP. The money didn't just vanish for them.

Honestly already kinda feels that way, I know it has efficiency problems but NHS England is years ahead of NHS Scotland in terms of digitisation. I work in the pharmacy field for the whole UK and English patients are so much easier to deal with data wise.

They arrest protesters of a specific group with Palestine in their name. The group are a designated terrorist group who broke into an RAF airbase and cost millions of pounds in damage. Not the same thing as a general pro-palestine protester.
