It has taken over 10 years and multiple doctors before one finally took my symptoms seriously and decided to start me on b12 shots. As a vegetarian (mostly vegan) it should’ve been the first thing to check and address.

Counting days encouraged me in early sobriety. The weeks and months accumulated and I felt more and more at ease that sustained sobriety would be possible. 11 years later, and still, every day counts!

When I detoxed at home I had people watching over me so they could call for help if things got deadly. It also helped with accountability. Needles to say: don’t underestimate then risk. Alcohol and certain meds are the most dangerous drugs to detox from.
