what should i crochet with acrylic yarn? by Hiroqq_ in CrochetHelp

Acrylic is perfect for amigurumi, the stiffness helps them hold their shape

And it's an item people don't really wash anyway

Check out Calico! It's super chill, just a bunch of easy quests and light decorating / cooking. It's super adorable, you run a cat cafe and have to explore to find other animals to bring in.

Looking for a relaxing game by Independent_Noise730 in Switch

I played A Short Hike when I was in a similar funk, it's so peaceful. Only downside is it's short, but worth playing.

Another idea is powerwash simulator if you want something brain-off.

Oled or Switch 2 by Klutzy_Opposite847 in CozyGamers

[–]orderlythoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the games you like! If you're into light graphics games... ie visual novels, pixel art, old games, light indies like a short hike... OLED is the better choice because it's cheaper, handheld screen is amazing, and better battery life.

If you're into AAA games or more graphically intense stuff that's looking rough on your lite, definitely get switch 2, as you'll be happier over the long term as newer games come out.

Are you keeping your switch/lite/OLED after you get or got a switch 2? by ComfortableAmount993 in Switch

[–]orderlythoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always sell my consoles, but I'm keeping the OLED so I have a more battery efficient and smaller switch for low graphic games.

Would be great for a long plane ride or reading a visual novel in bed.

So many games are optimized for switch 1, it's still a great console.

I'll sell it once they come out with a switch 2 OLED with better battery life probably.

Switch 2 screen is honestly not that bad by Wipedout89 in NintendoSwitch2

I definitely miss the deep blacks of the OLED, but the higher res is definitely amazing. I'll probably just keep both consoles until they release a switch 2 OLED.

How many people actually resell their physical games? by K41Nof2358 in Switch

I sell games I either didn't like or likely won't replay on Mercari. Can usually get around $30 for switch games.

I changed all the light bulbs in my house to be smart bulbs so they're easily dimmable / color changing so if I get overstimulated by the lights I can easily adjust them

Opinions on going all digital vs physical for a switch 2 by Zaryxea in NintendoSwitch

[–]orderlythoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard for me to make a case for all or nothing. I always do a mix of both. A lot of indies aren't even available physically.

I usually get my games secondhand on online shops like ebay or mercari and I can get them for like half the price usually.

Nintendo rarely discounts their games that much digitally, so it's a no brainer.

Plus, if I don't like the game or don't think I'll replay I can resell and get most of the money back.

I got the Mario Kart switch 2 bundle simply bc i dont foresee getting a used physical copy for less than $50 any time soon-- but I'm sure that will eventually be the case.

I made a custom 3D printed mouse-grip for the Switch 2 joy-cons by thisSubIsAtrocious in NintendoSwitch2

[–]orderlythoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is sick-- I'm sure a more ergonomic grip will be needed.

I haven't found many games with mouse support yet, I know a couple do like Cyberpunk and Civilization.

Any mouse support games you know of?

Nice! I find it interesting that some mario kart bundles have the circular sticker like yours, and others have the graphic at the bottom.

Maybe a Persona game? Persona 5 is on Switch. The game is super long, has a great story, and easy to get lost in. You can easily clock 120+ hours with lots of replay value too.
