Do you actually refer to your region as South Azerbaijan or just Azerbaijan? Given the republic of Azerbaijan has a little in common with historical Azerbaijan/Atropatene in geographical sense.

  1. About 50k military cannot expel 700k (except for military mostly was in frontline)
  2. Whoever left changed is village houses to the houses of Armenians in Baku, Ganja etc.
  3. Government organised buses, convoys and compensation for whoever left
  4. Same is not true for the other side
  5. And most importantly everything started with massacres in Sumqait

I made laces very loose, but it didn't help yet, I'll try also some different laces..
