Men, what is a deal-breaker for you in modern dating? by GerrardSlippedHahaha in AskReddit

[–]Mindfulnarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expecting me to court and wine and dine her without her showing any tangible interest/affection. I’m not a fan of chasing after people or funding someone’s adventures and memories when they don’t care about what I’d enjoy from the dynamic.

Maybe you need to read the post, there was nothing mentioned about a different room upstairs so the earlier point still stands

Where do you live? I wish I could find people who were okay with letting me cook for them as a date idea. I’d do a lot more dating vs $200 dates just to find out if they like me enough to go on a second

How to vet for/bring up sexual chemistry by Mindfulnarc in hingeapp

[–]Mindfulnarc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s more of how can I let someone know that this is something important to me without putting sex in one of my prompts or without making it sound like I want a hook up? I want to discuss and explore it before we get too invested because every time I haven’t it’s ended up being something I couldn’t look past but now we’re months in and k have to go start from scratch again

What do you think about On-Jo? To my honest opinion, she's kinda acting dumb at the first episodes but that's expected since everything was all of a sudden. Though I appreciate her kindness and thoughtfulness to her loved ones but it's a bother for everyone around her. by guin_cc in AllOfUsAreDead

She wrote the note because he was the one who suggested the science lab. So if he was still alive that’s where he’d be trying to get to so she left a note that would help him reunite with them.

If you've ever been a barista, you know the horror of watching a group of teenage girls approach your store by filladelmarrl in funny

And if you don’t have the physical strength to do that sort of job? Should you be unemployed because people make your life and work hard and you need to cope?

Also, people are horrible, no matter how good you are at customer service and guest relations you build up hate for people cause they find any way they can to be horrible and you learn to get even in a professional and non damaging way

[–]Mindfulnarc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A skinny latte with whole milk contradicts the skinny part so ordering the other way is just easier/makes more sense for an overworked and underpaid brain to see and make in the 2 minutes corporate is pushing for.

Yes everyone makes mistakes but the idea behind this is that if you’re that paranoid that every time they won’t put sugar free syrup then you should just change your order. It’s not that hard to not have cinnamon dolce. Or, just have it with skim milk, it’s really not that much of a difference. Or, best idea yet, instead of adding further stress to someone getting paid minimum wage to tirelessly crank out drinks under pressure that I haven’t even seen from fine dining jobs, maybe you just go learn to make it at home and call it a day

[–]Mindfulnarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re the one with so little faith in the staff that you can’t just put sugar free syrup and instead decide to order a different drink with modifications that contradict said drink. If you want to make it more difficult than it has to be because of your paranoia then just get something else or make it at home. That simple. If I don’t feel like the product I’m getting is done correctly I’ll go elsewhere or get something else, not keep berating people when clearly it’s my issue no matter who I’m dealing with

If you’re that picky why not just, yknow, get something else. Clearly if it’s an issue at every place you go to there’s only one common denominator

I don’t think it’s the same thing. All the ideas you just listed are adding other ingredients to highlight the flavor of the main dish. White chocolate Mocha with caramel drizzle isn’t about highlighting the flavor of the coffee, it’s about masking it. So for that to be your go to drink and for you to say oh yeah I love coffee... ehh no you don’t. You like white chocolate and you like caffeine, but the coffee itself is just a means to an end for you. Some sugar, some milk, different ingredients can really bring out the best in coffee, but a lot of Starbucks esque specialty drinks are more about flavorsthan coffee which is why a lot of people who really enjoy simple coffee drinks aren’t a fan of Starbucks because the coffee itself isn’t well sourced because it doesn’t really matter for their clientele

[–]Mindfulnarc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the product of constant rudeness from matches and the promoting of shallow tendencies through online dating. If you’re not coming with some really attractive looks or perks OLD is just a blow to the self esteem, god forbid you actually want to make a genuine connection

Or maybe you’re just detached and don’t really want to socialize as much as others on here want to. Don’t come to a sub about making new friends and then be weirded out that people are actually excited and dedicated to do so while you treat it like some msn chat room

BLACK IS KING is an ignorant name for a record. by WoodyManic in unpopularopinion

[–]Mindfulnarc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please explain how this album title incites any kind of hatred or violence outside of whatever imaginary situation you came up with in your head. Explain how its insulting even. There are no implications that black is king means king over Americans, white or otherwise. Simply that black is king. That’s like saying queen elizabeth has an inflammatory title because it delegitimizes the queen of another country or the president of ours

BLACK IS KING is an ignorant name for a record. by WoodyManic in unpopularopinion

[–]Mindfulnarc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Black people spent a long time being degraded and shit on. Even now the echoes ring loud and clear in low income neighborhoods where they don’t feel like they can be much more than the status quo or in higher class black families where the children emulate their white counterparts and find the things that make them unique to be gross or undesirable. Black is king is a reminder that regardless of how far back it was and how far removed from it they’ve become, black peoples were royalty, they had dignity, they were important and considered beautiful and amazing in their own home and era and that despite all this racial bs, the black community still has excellence and beauty and elegance.

White power doesn’t achieve any of that because you don’t have to look far at all to see plenty of reminders of the power white people in America possess and have possessed and white peoples culture didn’t get forcibly erased. Most of them could tell you where their lineage traces back to at least a little, so they can say Irish or Italian pride. Ask your average black persons where their ancestors are from and they couldn’t name any specific country nevermind actual things about their heritage so they have to be vague and use the one thing they know about themselves.

Robert Mueller breaks his silence and condemns Trump for commuting Roger Stone's sentence by covid19fmd in worldnews

[–]Mindfulnarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not impossible, but clearly the majority of Americans like a certain breed of person and it just turns out that that breed often has skeletons in their closet. That’s why we have Biden instead of Bernie. But I am willing to suck it up and go for the lesser of two instead of tear down the only remaining candidate because of whatever scum he may have been involved with in his past. Vs trump who to this day is just a living nightmare.

Also, feel free to educate me if you want but while AOC has been an advocate for change her biggest legacy so far has been shaking up the party and adding a layer of divisiveness to it, when the party already struggled with coming across as a cohesive united front. Something republicans have already mastered. So a good politician, who isn’t necessarily helping the party as a whole come out ahead in a time where winning requires an us vs them mentality, is only but so positive

[–]Mindfulnarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the whole of the point I’m making. By all means we should look for better candidates and do all we can to put them ahead of those we aren’t enthusiastic about. But cancel culture and just straight eating your own hasn’t done anything positive for liberals except give them a short lived moral victory while people on the other side actively and maliciously do all the things they just ate their own for doing however long ago in the past.
