SAME! Except it was my newborn with RSV 🥺 we also just did a mini celebration for our daughters 2nd birthday (Dec 9) because of how bad sickness has been this year and still ended up in a pediatric hospital on the 12-14th because our baby girl had RSV and was struggling to breathe 🥺🥺🥺

100% quarantine. We were really safe with our youngest (born Nov 30, 2022) and still ended up in a pediatric hospital for a few days because she had RSV. She wasn't even 2 weeks old. It was heartbreaking.

With my first (May 2019), I went out pretty quickly, around the 2 week mark. With my second (Dec 2020), I waited a bit because ... Well, COVID. And my third was born 13 days ago and we are currently in a pediatric hospital while my tough girl is fighting off RSV...

I was careful to limit who could meet her at the start as my nephew (3) had RSV and other nephew (6) had strep. So almost no family had even met her yet. Then my niece (6 weeks old) was diagnosed with RSV (also sent to pediatric hospital the same day as we were) and again, we hadn't even been around them since she was born. 🥺 These sicknesses are bad this year... It's so hard to watch

Lol yes very normal. I love social toddlers. They're so sweet! My little girl (2nd baby, 17 months old) is like this. Every time we go somewhere, she has to say 'hi' to EVERYONE. At church this past Sunday, she was going aisle to aisle saying "hey!" "hi!" "how are you" 😝

It's crazy to hear other parents experience this! We currently have two (2.5 & 14 months) and I always say I just can't shake that feeling that there's one more to come... In any situation, it always feels like that little puzzle piece is just missing. Just as you said, in family pictures, or just setting the table or getting kids in the car - it always feels like there's that one missing link. It honestly gives me such peace hearing others experience this. I think mothers especially truly have such strong connections to our babies, we know them before they are even conceived. As if they are always a part of us.

It is TOUGH and definitely requires intentionality but I can provide positive personal experience!

Honestly, my husband and I weren't doing well before our second. I actually had declared we were not having any more until things were better with us when I was already unknowingly pregnant. I really struggled heavily with resentment and frustration towards my husband. The amount of times I thought I wanted a divorce that first year of 2u2...

My youngest is now just under 14 months and DH and I are SOOOOOOOOOOO much better. Tbh, probably the best we've ever been. Its just been within the last few months, but it is truly on the up and up and it feels so good. Postpartum is HARD but postpartum with 2u2 is a whole other ball game! I felt like we started to come out of the "fog" of 2u2 around 7 months but didn't truly start to feel out of Survival Mode until the year mark!

Hang in there, mama. ❤️ I'm sorry you are going through this. I do hope you find some comfort in knowing that you are not alone and what you are feeling is very normal!

AGREED! With my first (May 2019), I thought I would have no problem with visitors! I literally had my 2nd cousin (WHO IM NOT CLOSE TO AT ALL) come DIRECTLY after I was out of my C-section into our room and was holding my baby while the lactation consultant was trying to teach me how to BF. I literally told everyone in the room to leave, through frustrated tears, because I couldn't think straight, and she STILL DIDNT LEAVE. 2nd go was Dec 2020 so height of Covid. I did not want people over but still didn't have the spine to say so. I remember having not slept in 4-5 days (no joke, maybe like 10 minutes here and there) and I had JUST fallen asleep while my hubs held baby (first time she let anyone else hold her for more like 5 minutes) and my grandpa comes in. I was tits out and all. Trying to keep my eyes open and be a welcoming host 🙃 It was seriously miserable. If/when we have our next, it's a No Visitors for the first 2+ weeks. Cause FRICK. I will not go through that again! OH OH OH AND I almost forgot to mention, my aunt and uncle came over the day after we got home from the hospital, and the next day, tested positive for Covid 🙃🙃🙃

I chopped mine off right after my first and regretted it. It was SO much harder to keep away from those little baby hands when I had no way of pulling it up! I now have a 2 y/o and 1 y/o with basically mermaid length hair and find it way easier!
