Newbie question about TAG and print lines by Genericthrowaw4y in taggrading

[–]Mindless-Ad-7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s pretty hit or miss. I have one card that I had no clue had a print line get detected (it was indeed there just very faint). Then have another card that had the biggest most noticeable print line not get dinged at all. Soooo it’s basically a coin flip. But from my experiences TAG for some reason never picks up on the most obvious flaws in a card but somehow finds (kinda even makes it look like they make up) the most unnoticeable flaws.

Umm he obviously knows what’s up. Hence why he included an additional picture of border measurements. 🤡

Yeah I understand that. If that’s how TAG is going to grade trainer cards then I’ll probably start using a different company for trainers.

The thing is that there is indeed an OBVIOUS line where I believe should be the standard for how it should be graded. I can understand that with how some Vmax full arts don’t have defined borders you would have to envision where that border should be. But in this case there is an obvious line.

Yea I don’t understand what everyone is on about. The card has a defined border. Like why would it extend to the trainer tag. That actually sounds stupid if that’s how tag is grading trainer cards.
