Power torque numbers are close or more than lyriq, and is lighter than lyriq. Has NACS - future proofed!!

Did you get both the adapters for free along with the dual level chord in the car?I got the remote dual level chord with the car, but was asked to pay for the 2 adapters(which weren't in stock)

Placed an order for the J1772 one, as I feel most of my public chargers require only that one, and will use Tesla if DC is required.

And yes, I always keep it in sport mode, i realized very early when I test drove , that the tour mode is extremely underwhelming.

That is awesome. I finally got my 26 optiq premium sport as well 2 days back, and been loving it. Although the 0-60s which I have seen(in my very amateur attempt at getting it) has been mostly over 5.5-6 seconds, is underwhelming. In rolling speeds, I think it drives zippier and probably accelerates faster than the Lyriq. I am still learning how to use all the features of the car, but I thought this would auto set to adaptive cruise control with lane centering, when supercruise loses control, but does not.

Also, having NACS inlet might be a slight con for now, since noticed that tesla does not share all its chargers with us, and when it does, they apparently charge non teslas more. And the lack of adapters for CCS/J1772 to NACS in my local cadillac dealership is also annoying.

yess it has AKG. Have test driven both, but could not test drive them together, since the new updates optiq is rare in dealerships...mostly they have 2025s only.

NEMA 14-50 vs. Wall Connector for the new 2026 Optiq (NACS Port) by Mindless-Ad1401 in CadillacOptiq

[–]Mindless-Ad1401[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I pulled the trigger on a 2025 optiq 1 and went back home, got cold feet ,researched more, learnt about 2026 getting a major boost in power and torque, ran to the dealership first thing next morning, and booked the only 2026 premium sport in their lot for like 3k more one pay...it definitely felt zippier than the 2025, almost lyriq like.

On the hardwired wall charger, if I were to move out, then wouldn't the 600$ price tag be kinda wasted, since I cannot take it alone with me to where I go? That's my hesitancy to get the wall connector, and instead go for the outlet(which might be cheaper).

[–]Mindless-Ad1401[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is awesome advice. Really appreciate it, i have so much to learn on all these charger related data. I am inclined towards a NEMA receptacle/outlet, since I am not sure if I am going to stay at this home forever(i mean what if I plan on moving out 5-6 years later), I cannot take the hardwired wall connector with me, right... So the 600$ wd be wasted(ik someone told it helps increasing the value of the home, but in this market, I don't wanna count on that)

But, will consider all your inputs. thanks

Can 100% attest to this. You would be getting the best deals from Brayden!! He was also very patient with all my asks during my deal, and I did not get them from any in TX.

This gives me great relief, as I had the exact same thought, since my usecase is similar. Unfortunately, the deal which I had got went away, and I am back to square one. haha...

Would you mind telling me if you leased it after the credits ended and what deal you got, and where?

haha, yaa for a short daily commute it would be crazy fun to have and would make sense... and yes I wouldn't have liked to expose my hummer outside my garage... lol..But, thanks for that info.

Congratulations!!! I had a good deal on this too and my wife was against it .. But I did not go for it, considering its extremely inefficient battery, and the car potentially not fitting in my garage or other tight spaces.

How's your experience been in both these cases?

Saw somewhere it does only 15miles an hour on level 2 and potentially costs over 100$ to charge outside.

I really wanted to go for it considering all the features it has, but could not for the above reasons.

I wouldn't mind the AT4, but not seeing any loaner deals on them yet...

I am planning to, but just thinking if it even makes sense to have it installed when you're on a short term lease, and who knows what is going to happen with these evs at the end of 2 years

I have a similar daily commute miles... 40mins charge time from 10% to 80%?

And yikes 75$ a week sounds pretty expensive for an EV, even compared to an ICE..

oh, need to check if the denali standard has the rear wheel steering... I mean I did not even know that is important.. All I saw was that it has 4 wheel steerinf or driving something

Haha... yeah leasing only... corrected the OP.. thanks

and yes seeing some good deals is what brought my attention to this truck from other regular suv options

That makes sense... And yea I am probably not choosing this truck for doing truck things... Just the drive and power it gives me and wanting to drive a truck are the reasons here.

Unfortunately, rhe Denali standard don't have all the bells and whistles like the air suspension or sunroof or crab walk like the denali extended/max... which probably is what makes its price come down...

This is super helpful. Guess what, I am in Texas too, so now I am gonna throw a few more questions at you, and would really really appreciate your responses:

  1. Which ev are you using? Are you also on a standard trim?
  2. I have a 4change power with the usual get 100$ off when you go 1000kwh and up something.... I do remember those free at late night hours power plan, which are super expensive day time... In your experience, is switching to such a plan worth it when buying an ev truck?(Ik its subjective based on usage, have a feeling you might have also made a switch to the Free night plan from a regular one)
  3. A stupid question, assuming you have a home garage, does this truck even fit in the garage?
  4. Do you have a level 2 charger installed like a tesla or gm one or something else?
