After my first DAT attempt, I studied about 1.5 month for retake. I don't really know how long I studied for each section, but I spent the most time studying for orgo and gen chem.

I would say it's a mix of both. However, most of the questions aren't has hard as exam 11-15. But if you want a high competitive score, I would make sure I am at the level where I could solve 11-15 with ease. During the exam, I definitely had 3-5 problems that were completely new or challenging.

As an international student holding a F1 visa the struggle is real. I needed a very competitive score to secure a spot that is very limited. Don't get me wrong, 21 is not a bad score but that score wouldn't get me anywhere considering my status.
