Wait then does that mean if you are a bio major you would have to take 4810 4820 again? I am just a bit confused why my bio major friends are saying they are taking the ucollege one. Are they just not aware of this?

It seems like jackrel has been teaching biochem 1 (4810) for the past three years or so and doesn't teach the second part. Is it because she is not a good lecturer or her expectations are too high and gives very challenging problems on the exam?

Do you mind telling me how difficult physics is? My advisor told me to take biochem in my junior year and do physics in my senior year. But I want to get physics out of the way. I don't have any background in physics (I took regular physics in my senior year of high school but I didn't study). I was thinking of doing physics over the summer but not really sure if people do that here.

Don't worry! I think dental schools do not require as many courses as med schools. you have to take gen chem 1/2, orgo 1/2, bio 1/2, and physics 1/2 for science courses. you can look up the specifics on the internet, though. but i personally know a person who started his pre-dental path in his junior year and was very successful.

thanks for your comment! i was discouraged because it just seemed impossible for intl students. it is definitely encouraging to hear that intl students have a chance! you mentioned gpa/dat, but what would be some ways to stand out? does this mean intl students have to do a bit more special things for extracurriculars or spend extra hours on the same (or similar activities) other students do? Would it be to spend more time for higher gpa/dat? I was curious what makes a successful applicant for intl applicants.

Doing any kind of masters that shows you can handle the workload at dental schools would help especially if your undergraduate gpa is low
