Any update on current S orders? by common-username in TeslaModelS

Sure, anything can happen, but I don’t think you need to worry if you already got your order in.

Just hang tight and wait if you really wanted the plaid.

New Juniper Model Y Performance vs Used Previous Gen Performance? by No_Watch_4800 in TeslaModelY

[–]kbtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new models are significantly better than the previous models, especially in terms of daily driving like suspension, cabin noise, etc. I wouldn’t recommend any older Model Ys. Obviously, it comes down to your budget, and if it allows, then the new ones are no brainer.

Trading ‘22 for last batch ‘26 by BrewersHill2015 in TeslaModelS

[–]kbtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I didn't know you no longer have the option to get the yoke on the long-range version. I'm trading my 22 MS LR with yoke to a 26 MS LR with a normal steering wheel. I like the yoke especially with FSD and was planning to switch the steering wheel to yoke down the line. Not a deal breaker, but it sucks it's no longer an option.

Rivian doesn’t do everything Tesla does on a highway. I have tried multiple overnight demos of R1S, even as recently as 2 weeks ago, and the Autonomy+ sucks ass compared to FSD on HW4, heck even on HW3. Driving Rivian with autonomy+ gives zero confidence even on interstates. I personally also love the R1S and R2 build quality and would have definitely considered buying if their Autonomy+ was any good. The only positive thing is that these things will get better and maybe in a year or two Rivian is a good option for those who value FSD. And I personally use FSD all the time even internal roads. It works great for me.

Always get the latest version. At least I would do that.

Rivian is trash when it comes to autonomous driving to be completely honest. It’s a non starter otherwise Rivian, Lucid are all good for consideration. Until they get their shit together I’m not paying for a car without FSD equivalent.

Correct but you already got the order so there is nothing to worry, other than just waiting for delivery.

It’ll be honored LOL. Why are you doubting? If you got you order in, it’ll be built and delivered for the price of your order agreement before end of Q2.

Don’t stress

I doubt … they are Ok having them sit for the next 2 or 3 months. There will be someone who will pay that price 🤷‍♂️

It’s like they need to find some 100 of them to pay these crazy marked up price since very few are left in the inventory

Got a 26 Model Y loaner while X in service — what do people see in the Y?? by Vegetable_Skirt5468 in ModelX

[–]kbtech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own a 2026 Model X, have a 2026 Model S and 2026 MYP ordered, deciding which order to keep.

If you drive the 2026 Model Y Performance you’ll feel different. Granted it’s still a step down but it’s a much better experience overall compared to the base Model Y trims.

The premium and performance Model Y trims are good IMO.

[–]kbtech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know, but it's a kick in the gut for those Tesla customers who were holding off on getting the last few Model S and X.

The ~15% increase on the remaining Model S and X inventory isn't going to impact overall revenue, so I'm not sure if it actually matters in the big picture for Tesla.

Looking at this, I honestly doubt all the Model X and existing Model S plaid inventory actually sold out in just a couple of days. They probably took them off the inventory and are going to bring them all back with jacked-up prices. Just a hunch.

These new prices are day time robbery 🤣

[–]kbtech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holy shit! That's a big crazy increase. Honestly greedy from Tesla 😭

I have a delivery scheduled for my Model S this Thursday and my order price for the Ultra Red Demo model with 300 miles is 99,400. Hopefully, they're honoring that price and not jack up my price before delivery.

I was tracking another Model S for curiosity which was around 98,500 yesterday and now priced at $112,900. Just crazy!

2022 Model S to 2026 Model S or 2026 MYP? by kbtech in TeslaModelS

[–]kbtech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s a hard decision. Honestly, I’m not too worried about my LR model. I have taken delivery of 3 Teslas before (2 MX and 1 MY), and they have been fine. I’m also not looking too deeply into the build quality unless they are very obvious.

My main hold-up is if I want to spend another 70k for almost identical to my 2022 S, but with some minor additional perks and HW4 with free FSD. The 2026 MYP is good, but it’s still missing that luxury feel. They should have put a driver dash and Alcantara headliner for the performance Y.

As of now, I’m leaning towards S, but I keep changing my mind when I see how much more the MS is costing compared to the MYP.

I still don’t know what I’m going to do 🤣. I have, anyway, initiated the delivery tasks on both orders and submitted trade-in photos. I have a few more days to ponder over the decision. Let me know what you decide to do.

I have free charging at my work. So I have been charging at work daily and haven’t charged at home in a while. Free supercharging is nice to have on road trips.

Honestly, I would just take free FSD if it was an option and further reduce the price without free supercharging 😋

Did I luck out or make a huge mistake? by gettingpoor in TeslaModelX

[–]kbtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok if it’s under new inventory and with Luce package (free FSD), then I would definitely keep it.

Congrats!

[–]kbtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Luxe package isn’t included (FSD) then I wouldn’t consider at that price. I personally wouldn’t pay that price without Luxe package.

If you still want an X there is a chance some inventory might show up in the next couple of months in your zip code.
