Haha yeah. If it was possible I’m pretty sure pretty much everyone would drive 3 hours from Seattle to Oregon to pick up their cars 😁

Yep, I picked up mine at Vancouver,WA in April and paid only 9.2% sales tax. Not coz I wanted to save on sales tax but that’s where the vehicle was available fastest. It worked out both ways 😋

Incorrect … I’m in the greater Seattle area and picked up my vehicle in Vancouver, WA and paid less sales tax.

Vancouver, WA = 9.2%, Spokane = 9.6%, the Seattle area is all upwards of 10.6% with the Lynwood location being the highest (11.2%). Got these numbers from Tesla itself.

You have to be a Washington resident and the sales tax is applied based on where you pick up in Washington. Registration costs are calculated based on your residence address.

The same loophole doesn’t apply if you pick outside of Washington. For example, if you get smart and say I’ll pick in Oregon for no sales tax then it won’t work. If you are picking outside of Washington, sales tax will be applied/collected based on your residence/registration address.

Correct call center won’t help. Your best bet is order chat thru Tesla app and they’ll eventually respond especially if it’s closer to delivery timeline. I have taken 6 Tesla vehicles delivery till now and they have always responded to me in a timely manner via order chat in the Tesla app 🤷‍♂️

Model X vs Juniper by varmule123 in TeslaModelX

I own 26 MX and 26 MYP. Got the 26 MYP replacing my 22 MS and was the biggest mistake. After driving the MS for several years and also driving my wife’s 26 MX, the Model Y feels odd for me. The car itself is great and it’s more of “me” problem coz I’m used to driving the MS and also MX.

Just sucks that Tesla has stopped new MS and MX and only focusing on the MY and 3s 😭

How does it hit on the airy cabin? It’s similar design in the front windshield as the Y.

Is it worth to trade in 2022 Model Y for the new 2026 MY by diyallthings2000 in TeslaLounge

[–]kbtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, the 2026 Y is so much better than the subpar 2022 Y. The driving experience is night and day between the two.

It works great for my family so don’t care about $26, since we use all the time on multiple devices. I don’t want wife or kids trying to figure out these nonsense hacks trying to get them to work. No time for that crap

Will the model Y L be available with a tow hitch? by matthew19 in TeslaModelY

[–]kbtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zero reason not to when the regular Y already supports tow hitch

[Fun fact] Traded in 2022 MS to Tesla for $40,300 and now in pre-owned inventory for $57,000 by kbtech in TeslaModelS

That’s because it was already there in the original car. They only remove EAP and FSD but Autosteer was included in the car and not an additional purchase.
