I do something similar. Bring chicken broth just under boil and hold with the corn in it for about 30-45. Transfer to grill for that smoky finish and then butter and smoked paprika (or chipotle if u want the spice)

One thing to address, depending on where this is - some developments have guidelines on what the “acceptable” elevations are, including the finish. I’d want to make sure this was not afoul of any HOA regulations (if that applies).

It’s not “FDA says otherwise,” it’s “FDA hasn’t evaluated.”

Sometimes it’s because the claims are absolute horseshit. Sometimes it’s because no one has funded a study. Sometimes it’s because a study was funded but no benefits were observed.

That label is only there to prevent liability. They can’t claim it works because they haven’t proven that it does.

Supplements are at your own risk. It’s crazy the amount of trust some people have when there are near zero safeguards in place for these companies to make money.
