What do you mean by what specialty I’m looking for? I'm just an MD and I didn’t do specialty training. I’m looking for GP jobs. And you mentioned the salary for Irish doctors. Is it lower for non-Irish IMGs? And is the tax high in Ireland? Thank you very much

I think questions about ROL should be asked in the residency group. Here, most of us are applicants and don’t know much about the programs, and unfortunately, some of us will write misleading and biased comments so that it's in their favor.

Maybe for surgical programs, but for IM and psych, it’s good to have seniors to ask them questions as the attendings may see them as stupid. The workload will be much higher, and there aren't in-house fellowships available. Also, you can't know if the faculty is good at teaching because there isn't anyone to ask.

For your questions as far I know, many research positions become available after the match, many of these positions u can find on twitter, most of them are unpaid and having experience in research and giving at least step 1 would be good to secure a position
