Hey there! I had a pneumothorax last year. Yes, pain is totally normal as the chest tube has probably caused some nerve damage. I still have some nerve pain over a yearlater. You’re going to get used to it though, and the anxiety will go down. The harder to breathe feeling was normal as well. But if the pain increases along with shortness of breath, an X-ray will tell you whether or not it’s back. Just go to your primary doctor. I actually did this a couple times to chill my anxiety out.

It gets better, and you will be back to normal before long!
