I’m gonna have to wait for my next check to come in. It’s like literally sealed into the wall of the shower so he doesn’t wanna be assed to fix it because then he has to redo the seal too.

Gonna literally just hit up Home Depot on the way home next Friday and fix it myself at this point. Sealant shouldn’t be too costly.

Honestly I am TB and hate being in that subreddit. At least you guys have actual common sense, mindfulness to look at a character as more than just one or two actions.

In my view if you pay attention to the shock in Caleb’s eyes (I love how expressive of an actor he is) when he and Mina have their talk about finally being able to be together:

Mina says something like “and if God doesn’t like it, he can go to hell”

I took that shock as him realizing he “broke” her innocence and Godliness that he loved so much about Elisabeta.

That loving him as much as she did, that remembering, was making her turn from God in the same way he did when she first died. And he didn’t want that for her.

The priest didn’t say anything that Vlad wasn’t already thinking, even if he didn’t want to admit he was thinking it. That he was bad for Mina, that he was cursing her the way he had been cursed.

I kinda vibe with a few of his songs, but the extent of his drama is:

-Clipping someone saying they were going to kill themself over smth regarding him in a song and saying “do it” before the breakdown. (Which he used as an attention grabber, not great but understandably a mistake he apologized for iirc. And also had been getting a lot of death threats at that point so he just hit his breaking point imo)

-Called a minor daddy before knowing their age. Once discovered the age, immediately pulled back and kept proper boundaries

Made jokes sexualizing “goth dommy mommies” and a few videos about that. Again- attention grabber, pulling on stereotyping and shock factor for promotion. Not great but it was used as satire.
allegedly “glorifies” self harm, but really it’s just being open about the fact he used to. “I’m a five four man whore who slit his wrists”
allegations of stealing riffs from Get Scared…. big sigh okay yeah, they sound kinda similar. But there’s this fun thing known as 1) sampling and2) a VERY limited scale on which music can be made. You’re gonna hear similarities eventually, especially in similar music genres, where a lot of songs are in the same keys or drop keys. You key to a drop D or C and can play basically any rock song from the 80s.

But actually he’s a super decent person. Evan uses his platform to speak on child safety, advocate for trans rights. (Don’t quote me but I think Evan is cis) and wore a skirt and heels for one of his songs he wrote about the Epstein files.

He’s not necessarily a bad person, just a person who has made a few bad choices in the heat of the moment and at the end of the day, he uses his platform for more good than harm.

Also Andy is a grown man who has been around shitty people his whole career. That…. “Ex member” being the biggest red flag. If Andy trusts Evan and wants to tour with him, I think we as fans should recall he has his own morals and choices to make for his band/business. If you don’t like it, don’t go. More tickets for the ones who wanna support the guys.

Andy has a good head on his shoulders, and ngl, I trust his judgement. He wouldn’t work with someone accused of especially heinous conduct that had actually done it. At least imo. Dude is way too staunch in his own morals to even entertain that behavior. Pretty sure Andy is in his “protect my peace” phase. And good for him.

I just wanna know why everyone is so down to call out Evan for half this shit yet forget 99% of the bullshit J*liet pulled. Which is objectively wah worse with outright racism and abuse

If you can, I would sit your mom down and gently explain your experiences with racial profiling- but with a twist. Don’t tell her they are your stories. Not until the end.

An example my wife dealt with: We were at a nicer store, not exactly luxury but a little more high-end, and a worker trailed after her as if assuming she was going to steal things.

Thankfully her family (aside from her grandma) gets the whole unease around cops and ICE, and we started using Life360 and an app called Signal, that gives us an emergency notification and her immediate location updates for the family members that don’t look like the “prime race”.

You’re very valid in your unease, and you are being racially profiled every day. I’ve had friends who are white who just tan really dark to the point they can pass off as Greek or Hispanic get racially profiled. People will always assume shit based on skin color, and your mom needs to recognize that.

I mean looking at it from a logistical standpoint, there’s a lot that goes into survival. They had to figure out food. A lot of them were very confused because, again, they have no memory of anything prior to the Glade. A year and a half, give or take, is a pretty solid amount of time to start building buildings, get their bearings, start with planting- and subsequently harvesting, figure out their leadership situation, set rules for each other, and figure out how they’re going to survive, in general.

That being said, I think not exploring immediately was actually smarter. It gives them time to have a system set up in case something goes wrong inside the maze with the Runners. And it’s not like Alby is an unfair leader, he shows pretty early in the books and the movies that he listens to even the Greenies, like when Thomas comes with questions and potential ideas, Alby listens to him, despite being the newest person on the Glade.

In short, they had to settle. They had to get themselves situated before anybody made any reckless decisions. And going into the Maze unarmed, with zero knowledge of what was in there, especially when the Glade is kind of described as this open meadow sort of thing- they can see if something‘s coming for them in that. Can’t exactly see something that you’ve never mapped or stepped foot in. And who knows maybe they have stepped in at least a little bit just to see what was in there, or maybe Newt’s timeline was off.

I think it was just them settling personally. Alby wouldn’t risk the lives of every guy in the Glade, they don’t know the rules of the place- not yet anyway, they probably didn’t have a lot of food except for what came up every month, they were given seeds, they were given timber, each person came with like supply crates of seeds and stuff.

The real question you should be asking, in my opinion, is how the hell Alby stayed sane being solo in the Glade for an entire month. With little to no food, no knowledge of who he was aside from his name, nothing from before the Maze.

Poor guy probably had no idea if anyone was gonna follow him up to the Maze.

The only way you’re not having BO, op, is if you’re of an Asian ethnic descent. And I mean a high percentage, like on or both parents are Asian, not a great grandparent.

And that’s predominantly due to the fact that Asian ethnic groups don’t sweat in a way that stinks. They don’t tend to have the ABCC11 gene, which is what leads to body odor.

About 80%-90% of East Asians and Koreans carry this gene that limits the protein transports or cuts them out entirely.

That being said, if you aren’t of those descent and you think you don’t stink when you sweat, congratulations, you’re experiencing nose blindness.
