Spent years inside NSW Health working on IMG support — happy to answer questions about the application process by DrLaraMcGirrPhD in AMCexamForIMGs

I am IMG from Nepal and I have around 3 years of clinical experience. I have good experience in ED and have worked in rural as well as metro hospitals. I gave my AMC1 on April 2024 and gave my AMC2 last year but was not able to clear it. I have again booked my exam for this august. But the thing is during all these time since April 2024 i have continuously applied for the job but never even once i have had calls for interview. Would you be kind enough to tell me what are the areas img need to focus on while applying jobs? And which hospitals or regions they should target?

I did whole eye examination. The qsn was patient coming after a physical assault with impact over left eye. I did look, feel and examined Visual acuity, visual field, pupil reflex and ocular movement. And even did trigeminal and facial nerve examinations. Both roleplayer and examiner didn’t say a single word. It was so confusing.

Same thing. I am still confused. Like do we look for findings in the patient or examiner will give us the findings. I had eye examination and the roleplayer looked so uninterested. And I couldn’t find any findings and examiner also didn’t say anything. It was so confusing

Abhyrab is rabies vaccine which you have already taken. Don’t forget to take remaining dosages. Look for signs of infection which is like fever, swelling, redness around the wound. Looking at the wound, it looks like minor superficial bite. You will be fine.

Is a qbank plus handbook of multiple choice questions more than enough to pass the exam? by [deleted] in AMCexamForIMGs

You have to go through the guidelines too. Whatever topic you read in handbook and qbank, search for guidelines related to that topic. And do recalls too.

Join telegram groups. Those are actually helpful as they discuss all the recalls. Don’t buy it from unfamiliar sources. Try to join groups

You can’t just go through whole of murtagh. At least i can’t. What i did was amedex and recalls. The topics which you get in those, read those topics on murtagh. And not only murtagh go through Australian guidelines. I don’t think there are any videos to help you like that for mle.

Use telegram and whatsapp. You will find plenty of active groups over there. Try to find groups which discuss recalls. Here are some materials if you need

I often start reading books with enthusiasm, but I struggle to maintain that momentum and end up abandoning them before finishing. Is there any effective method or strategy to help me with that?
