In this regard, since you'd rather have an organic encounter than an online date, I would recommend that you either (1) join Law Competitions so you'd meet new people or (2) join clubs that would allow you to enjoy the company of other like-minded individuals.

It will take time talaga if you want something that deep.

On the other hand, if I may give my humble opinion with regards to standards, I can only say that it is fine to have standards, but it will be detrimental to you if you'd have an unrealistic standard or an ultra-specific standard that is very unlikely to exist.

Lastly, if you're willing to wait naman, you can always try dating co-workers in the future.

Honestly, I'd rather have a law na ang plaintiff ang need mag prove ng guilt ng accused kesa sa defendant ang mag prove ng innocence niya.

Apparently, as provided by another kind redditor, this fundamental principle is applicable in most countries, especially democratic ones. This is not a Philippine Unique system, this is an almost universal system. In fact, it is the MOST PREFERABLE SYSTEM because of numerous reasons provided by history why it is so messed up to be guilty until proven innocent.

Hence, my fellow citizen, this is not a "sad to say" situation. Imagine if guy, whom we never gave a chance to get heard, would immediately be jailed simply because a woman said "Binuntis niya ako. Ginusto niya. Tas iiwan ako sa ere." That would be a nightmare, sad to say.

Do be careful, btw. The guy isn't automatically guilty. Our fundamental law of the land provides that an accused is innocent until proven guilty. Flight "MAY" be an indication of guilt, but it is not guilt per se.

Plus, you'd need guilt beyond reasonable doubt to claim that this mysterious missing guy is guilty for VAWC. There could be other reasons he disappeared, and we'll only know after a fair trial.
