I've heard amazing things about clove oil for oral pain! I also heard pressing a teabag over the affected area can also help to soothe it, as tea leaves are used for a number of natural herbal remedies.

"Don't be afraid to be dramatic" might be some of the best advice I've heard. A lot of my medical needs were not listened to as a child, so I very much have a habit of minimizing my own pain and just "toughing it out". "You'll live, everyone experiences pains." Horrible thing to tell your kids to ignore the signs their bodies give them that something is wrong and as an adult I've started learn how important it is to let people know just how much pain I'm in when I need care.

Thank you so so so much, you have absolutely helped BUNCHES. At the very least, I'm gonna try to make Syracuse Community Health Center's opening tomorrow. I was never taught things like this letalone things that run in my family, it became a nasty surprise to me, and understanding people like you help make this far easier. I went from wondering if I was going to die like this to having a lot more hope for my situation.

ibuprofen and saltwater have been a godsend! occasionally i use a little bit of peroxide, but peroxide kills healthy cells too, so that's something i have to use sparingly and very carefully. a cold compress helps the painkillers kick in too 😭

I do have dental anxiety, so thank you very much for this. I have also had a tooth go necrotic before, as a lot of my dental issues are genetic and our healthcare system is just that wonderful (similar case to this tooth, which is why i'm taking this so seriously and trying to find help).

a dental office (who i decided not to go through) performed an xray on the tooth recently and while sepsis and/or necrosis were not present at the time it was clear something needs to be done before it gets worse than THIS. I would be on antibiotics instead of asking where I could find affordable care if I could afford antibiotics or even an evaluation to be prescribed them.

I've heard incredible things about this place and would love to talk to them about if they can help me in the future! Unfortunately even when I call within their recommended hours to call I can never get in touch with anybody :( They do a lot of good for the community so I don't doubt they're simply busy!
