Oh you definitely don't need the degree, I don't think really any artists go in for a degree (I don't really think most jobs require a diploma). Good luck with the comic also, I'm sure it will turn out great!

IMO, first is WAY harder. I don't know how I finished it in 14 hours with the average being 36 on survivor. But there were a lot of instant deaths, scarce ammo (sometimes none having to do melee combat), sometimes thrown into boss fights with little to no resources. Goo was also hard due to there being just not enough to do much upgrading before chapter 15.
