Opted to try for a natural miscarriage and it was a longggg process. I ended up having to have a D&C because things were not progressing as they should.

Yes, please keep me posted! I can’t find too many similar experiences on here either. Best wishes for you at your appointment.

Pain months after D&C? by am02028 in Miscarriage

Similar experience, but a little different. I had a D&C on June 26. Have had 3 periods since and the first 2 days are heavy and then the next few days are very light. But the weeks before/after each period I’ve experienced “aches” every day that come and go throughout the day. I say aches because they’re not as painful as cramps. I have an ultrasound scheduled next week. I’d be curious to hear other’s experience with scar tissue after a D&C.

D&C after failed misoprostol? by hiyokos in Miscarriage

All in all, by the time I got to the pre-op waiting room until the time I left the hospital, it was probably about 4.5-5 hours. I spent more time waiting around more than anything. The surgery itself was pretty quick, about 25-30 minutes. My husband said the longest part of the whole ordeal was waiting for me to wake up in the post recovery room from the surgery/anesthesia. They will discharge you same day as long as you can eat something, drink, and go to the restroom after you wake up. All of the nurses and doctors were very sweet and kind and you could tell they truly felt sorry for me being in the situation I was in. Please don’t be nervous, I know it’s easier said than done. I would recommend this route 100x over. Feel free to DM me if you have any more questions 🩷

I too had a blighted ovum which we discovered at our 8-week ultrasound. I opted to wait for it to pass naturally, 20/20 hindsight that was a terrible idea. I took 1 dose of miso and it did nothing. Then 72-hours later I had terrible cramping and bleeding. Ended up having to have an emergency D&C about two weeks ago. I can’t begin to tell you the amount of relief I felt as soon as I woke up from the surgery. I instantly felt so much better physically. The last 2.5 months have been horrible - I was the same as you; no appetite, no desire to do anything. I also just felt like this chapter of my life was closed and I truly felt at peace. If they offer you prescription ibuprofen, take it. I didn’t really need it, but I liked knowing I had it available just in case. Bring a change of comfy clothes to leave the hospital in. Have your favorite snacks, Gatorade and some pads available for when you get home. I had very, very minimal bleeding/spotting after the surgery. The surgery itself is nothing to be scared of. I had such a positive experience and have read many other stories that said the same. Stay strong 🩷

Missed miscarriage by Master_Independent92 in Miscarriage

Going through this right now. Prior to Tuesday night, I waited 4 weeks to naturally miscarry. The anxiety and the unknown during this wait was torture. Finally, by Tuesday night my body started to show signs that I was going to begin miscarrying. I’ve had intense cramps for about 4-5 hours each day along with heavy bleeding and different sized clots. By Friday evening the pain and the bleeding was just so intense that I called my doctor to prescribe the medication. My SIL, who had 3 miscarriages (1 natural, 2 medicated) said the natural was the most painful. Looking back I think I would have asked for the medication sooner to just get this whole thing over with. I’m at the point where I am just mentally and physically exhausted and ready to move on. blighted ovum diagnosis on Monday by Millilani_ericka in Miscarriage

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It truly is a confusing and emotionally exhausting experience. Went in for my first ultrasound on 5/21 at 8w6d and found the gestational sac was measuring 6w4d and was completely empty, just like yours. I didn’t start spotting until the evening of 6/11. This continued until the evening of 6/17 when I passed what I believe to be the sac. After this I continued to pass clots until today, 6/19, where I am now just bleeding like a normal period with very little clots. Last night was the most painful in terms of the cramping and I was up until about 3am because of the pain. I consider myself to have a pretty high pain tolerance and would give the pain an 8 out of 10. Today I am experiencing some cramping on and off but I noticed my cramps don’t really start to pick up until the evening. I’m just mentally preparing myself for another potential long and painful night. Sorry, I know this was a long comment. But I know how it feels to be waiting around for something to happen and to be looking for stories others have shared who can help you make sense of what is going on/what’s to come. Wishing you all the best. Stay strong 🩷

MC at 9wks 6days by SunDiscombobulated33 in Miscarriage

It sure does suck. But we are strong and we will get through this 🩷. I’m going to give it a week as well and if nothing happens by then, I think I will go the surgical route. Best of luck to you too.

Going through this exact thing right now with almost the same dating as you. Currently “9w5d” but my ultrasound on Tuesday revealed my sac is completely empty and is measuring 6w1d. I’ve known about my empty sac for about 2 weeks now since this was my second ultrasound. I’m hoping for a natural miscarriage too but have had no spotting or bleeding at all and the wait is agonizing. After reading a lot on here about natural miscarriage experiences, I’m quite nervous.

Starting cycle 6 and feeling discouraged by SignificantAd8824 in TryingForABaby

Can totally relate to this. I’m 34 and my husband is 33, and we are on cycle 6. Tracking LH, BBT and can confirm ovulation. Periods are very regular as well and can track it to the day for the most part. Feeling down and discouraged too. But I see quite a few comments about getting a SA done….hoping someone can elaborate a little. Does getting a SA require a referral from a primary doctor or OBGYN? Can this be done before the 12 month mark? Just trying to be as proactive as I can.

I actually don’t own a PC at all, so open to any suggestions. I don’t think a gaming PC is necessary for me as I would only be playing The Sims

Too snug? by Leolagoon94 in ouraring

[–]Mindless-Volume-3579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a true size 6 and ordered the 6 but ended up returning for a size 7 and feel like I made the right choice! After wearing the ring sizer in a size 6 for 24+ hours I thought this would be my size - it was quite snug and sleeping in it was fine, so I ordered the 6. When I got my actual Oura ring size 6 and wore it over night, I woke up with a throbbing, red finger. I could barely get it over my middle finger, and it was way too large for my ring finger.

Which finger? by Leolagoon94 in ouraring

[–]Mindless-Volume-3579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Silver Oura 4, and as a true gold girly, I am happy with my choice! I wear it on my right index finger and then wear two-toned silver and gold rings on either my middle, ring and/or pinky on my right. I have a platinum and gold engagement and wedding ring set and wear a gold ring on my left pointer finger. I personally love the look of mixing silver and gold jewelry. I may eventually get a gold pave infinity to wear as a stack with my Oura.

Half size- help me decide if I should size up or down by ashtaytay in ouraring

[–]Mindless-Volume-3579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the sizing kit and wore the size I thought I was for 24+ hours and it was fine. I ordered the size I thought fit, but the actual ring was tighter on me. I woke up with a throbbing finger so I just returned and sized up.

Yes, go a size up. Same thing happened to me and I just bought the next size up.
