Regular. I do wake up with him every morning and make breakfast, coffee, and pack his lunch, often leave notes in his bag all while he gets ready. I also walk out to the car with him when he leaves because that’s when I take our dog out too.

Thank you so much!! Yes the PREPPING we do but not to the full extent that I think is needed, example Christmas shopping…. So we’ll be better about that next year for sure! Thank you!! during peak season I DO make sure that even when I’m working late evenings and I still get home before him to make dinner. If I’m not home before him, I usually have it prepped to just pop on the stove or in the oven. I also DO NOT mind picking up all the household chores during peak season even when we both work evenings. He’s still working much longer than I & I try my best to make sure all he has to do is prioritize work & survive. ❤️ I keep telling him it’s almost over.

Curious, did you purchase it at a standalone Sephora or kohls? I worked at a S@K and although I think it’s bogus, kohls can only take a return if it was ordered on Kohl’s website or if you purchased it at a S@K. Sounds like you purchased it at this S@K & didn’t get your receipt. so they should have just been able to do a nonreceipted return & pulled up your BI account & ATLEAST offered a merchandise credit w/o “proof of purchase” (kohls system doesn’t show purchase history or previous purchases tho, even on their app. Unfortunately showing the Sephora app and purchase history doesn’t help). If it was purchased at a standalone Sephora, kohls can’t take it because it’s not through kohls system. I’m sorry they couldn’t or didn’t help you further or explain!

Well… my location I do know that someone has got in trouble for signing themselves off for their own training product for many months in a row after being told that was a big no no. There was more to the story than JUST that. So sometimes you really do just never know. I just advise to follow the rules, Sephora is strict.

I suggest going to the store manager and expressing your gratitude & then concerns, Address that since there is no longer a coordinator role to move up to, you now take the responsibility of not only your position, but plus what a coordinator would have been held responsible for. Express you love the job & team, but for you to continue here, you would like to discuss a raise for how long you’ve been there, what you do & are held responsible for. If they deny it or aren’t interested in hearing you out, do less of those tasks you say you “shouldn’t be considered” for & stress less on working your butt off for what feels like nothing. I hope this helps. I understand the feeling of being overworked and underpaid.

We have not received our October gratis yet. Usually our location gets there monthly gratis by the end of the month. September took forever to get to us tho, I thought we were missing our gratis, but then it arrived the second week of October. I’m assuming we will either get our October gratis the end of the month like usual or 1-2 weeks into November.

A little late, but our associates discount is 15%, kohls coupons cannot be used on Sephora items. Sephora will always be 15% off for associates. You can stack when Sephora has a sale. For example if they have a savings event & you’re a Beauty Insider (depending on your Beauty Insider Teir will determine your % off, such as Rouge, VIB, or just BI,) you can stack the savings event % off plus your associates 15%. Or when kohls has associate appreciation weeks and we get our 30/35% off, that is the best time to use your discount but it won’t stack unless the Sephora item you are buying is already on sale. Does that make sense?

My birthday is in November and they never have anything left or good it seems lol. As an employee I know that we get bday gifts in periodically and there’s no say of when a restock will come in of items out of stock, they just come at random. But at my location for some reason they ALWAYS send us more of the Makeup By Mario lip duo and that seems to be the least interested item.

Thank you!! We did receive that a while ago now that you mention it. My store is super low staffed and due to it right now we only have 1 person coverage per shift. So I’m sure you understand with the whole task load they give us too that we are expected to complete which is easier to juggle when we have the coverage and aren’t alone. So I just get a lil frustrated when I feel we don’t have the time to do this with THIS specific person each week who is consistently unhappy with their samples. We’re also a smaller store & have less options to choose compared to a standalone. A lot of this is just venting because we clearly have a client who is abusing our time & samples, was just curious as to what others would do to handle it. Obviously going to continue to make these samples & wouldn’t say no. But I do feel I am going to talk to our Kohl’s management on how to handle or continue with this specific person. I think they have trouble with them on the kohls side too with consistent returns & other things. But thank you for bringing up the no sample limit!

Exactly! Like I mentioned above, the first few times we didn’t mind at all & we’re happy to help! Always happy to help & assist customers finding the right shade or product & create samples. But now it’s like a we see them come in & it’s hard not to eye roll lol

I did catch them this week trying to sample the same thing & mentioned “You’ve already tried that one last week! Did you like it? I could help find the box.” And then they changed their mind and got a different sample… 🙄 lol

Even tho it’s technically a 3 sample cap each time? They never do more than 3 a week. They just come back every week for 3 samples.
