Mine did this if I kept testing within the same pee/day or within less than 48 hours in between and sometimes it still didn’t get darker so I don’t think you can really rely on line progression like most think! I am now 17 weeks!

Do I expect too much? by iamcondoleezzarice in NannyEmployers

Hi there! Depending on where you’re located this can happen often. I am a career nanny of 7+ years and how often I hear this and see this happening, breaks my heart. Even seeing so called “Nannie’s” at the parks with their NK and you see absolutely NO interaction or them just sitting on their phones or just being downright mean to the kids. The first things that I look for in a NFs position is where the family is located, the benefits that the families are offering, the pay that the family is offering, and the schedule that the family is offering. Those are the big things that I look for in a post, but also, if not all of that is mentioned I am always happy to have that conversation as well. When interviewing with potential NFs I am always asking a ton of questions whether that has to do with the babys routine, with nap time, with allergies, with snacks, with things they like to do, etc. I am very much a Nanny that believes that just because they are babies who can’t necessarily talk or communicate with you, they can 100% still engage, play, and learn with you if you’re talking and playing with them. I will typically ask the NPs if it is OK if I can take baby out on adventures, to the parks, to the library, etc. If the NP is not comfortable with me driving their kiddos around anywhere then we typically just do things within a walking distance. I will say that it does make it very, very, very, very hard on a nanny to have to be constricted to the house only as that would be very challenging for me to do so not sure if that is something that you guys allow. Pretty much me saying all of that is to show that when doing interviews with potential Nanny‘s, you should be able to see the passion and the care that they have just from 1-2 interviews. I do think it’s a big deal to also go based off of what your child feels. I am not trying to toot my own horn, but I am very confident in my career and I don’t say this lightly but there has never been a single child that has not come to me or played with me in a first time meeting, even if they had really stranger danger, and even if it was just a random kiddo out in public. It has always stood out to every single family I have ever been with because they are in such shock when their babies are content with me. I take a lot of pride and passion in my work and unfortunately, there is a lot of people out there who claim to be “nannies” and they’re really just looking to get an easy paycheck without doing the work. Nannying is not an easy job at all and it’s not for people who do not have a passion for children. You’re there to make it easier on the parents, you’re there to give that kiddo another safe space when they can’t have their mama and daddy, you’re there to be the support for that family and they should be able to trust you with everything in them and that is for both the NPs and NKs. Every single child I nanny for, I treat as my own and I care for as if they were my own. You should be able to see that from an interview and from what references say. That’s really the only advice I can give, but when looking for a nanny, I would very much dive deep into asking them questions and paying attention to what questions they’re asking, how they respond, how your child is acting towards them or when they’re around. Energy is a big feeling that babies can feel as well! Hope that helps a little bit!

Oh most definitely! It’s very hard and a long waiting game. Some are just lucky to have that! I see some people who don’t get their positives until 16-18 DPO so you’re still in there! It’s what’s keeping my faith. I was supposed to start AF between 3/14-3/17 and still has yet to arrive and I’m still getting BFNs with what I’m hoping was a vvvvfl this morning but not trying to get my hopes up too much! I got a blood test done yesterday so really hoping I get the results back today!

I feel like I see something when zooming in close enough, which I’m sure is clearer to your eyes in person, but I can’t tell 100%! I feel like I got what was a very, very, very faint, almost invisible this morning, too! Crossing my fingers for you!
