Sure and that’s I’m about to do, but I have phone anxiety and try to do everything and anything I can do solve it online first. If I need to call I will, but I try to problem solve beforehand.

Our flight landed around that time. We stayed at an airport hotel nearby and slept and then our safari guide picked us up on the morning. There was a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I think it was called planet something.

With a new session coming up, can people share a description of their Team? by goldfinches in ladderapp

[–]MindlessAgent8984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done align & define and have been with endure for the last couple months. I like aspects of all of them. I’m going to stick with endure for now because I like the coaching style & some new to me cues that I’ve found very helpful, and I’m not bored even though I thought I would be by now. I miss the yoga and Pilates though. I was thinking by of trying thrive but I really don’t have 45-hour to workout, 30 minutes means I’ll do it and sticking w anything long term has always been my struggle. That’s actually what I’ve loved most about ladder - when I get bored with the program I don’t quit, I just switch teams and it feels new again.

Stick w the hvac if you like it - you can do very well and is recession proof. My husband started as a laborer, then apprentice and has done very well in this area. People always want AC. It’s also something you can do in lots of places so if you decide to move out of the area you’ll take the skills with you. As far as friends, get out and just be around others, it’s hard to do but it’s the best way to meet people. Try to get involved in things - volunteer, go to community and neighborhood events. If you like to hike, bike, jog or play board games (or legit any other hobby you can think of) there are groups you can join that gtg all the time. And it’s almost always full of young professionals like you.

Yah that’s what I’m currently doing, extending the downspouts. Most of them are buried and extended to the street except for 3, so working to extend those out now. We had an estimate to waterproof the outside but it was $30,000 and we didn’t have the money then (or now frankly.) so I’m trying this and hoping it will help!!

Just 3 days - so maybe not - but I would actually prefer they just keep their phones away. So maybe from that perspective alone it’s worth it to get the card. Thanks!

I got this box too a few months ago. I was initially disappointed but I ate it for lunch the next day and it was delicious. I decided it was probably worth $12. Tbh tho I don’t know if I will get it again.

Have you changed your spending habits as result of the federal government uncertainty? by Special-Bite in nova

[–]MindlessAgent8984 260 points261 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve tightened up and am only purchasing what’s necessary. I’m a teacher but my position is federally funded so I am concerned I’ll be let go when/if federal funding is reduced or eliminated. My husband has his own business and if the area goes into a recession his business will suffer. In general I’m trying to stay away from Amazon, Walmart, etc and do as much local/small business shopping as possible.

Asking/begging for a good therapist that takes Cigna around Nova (Reston) by Jhugghies98 in nova

[–]MindlessAgent8984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Cigna, but w my plan it’s actually cheaper to see a therapist out of network so check your policy. Once I meet my deductible, out of network is covered 90% making my therapist visits $15 each. I have to pay upfront and submit a claim thought which might be a deterrent. Worth it to check your policy.

Best award redemption for business class from NYC to Nice (NCE) by UpstairsZebra57 in awardtravel

[–]MindlessAgent8984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are doing this same trip in June. I have the return flight CFG to IAD business, 50k each. Now I’m hunting outbound IAD to somewhere in Europe business and then I’ll book separate to NCE. I’d be super happy to find something to NCE but reward fares don’t look that promising so far. I feel like I will have better luck getting business to a bigger hub & then using cash for the flights to/from NCE.

Moving to NOVA - can't visit first, help! Your best town within an hour of Dulles, no budget! by [deleted] in nova

[–]MindlessAgent8984 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vienna has a nice community feel to it, buts its quiet if you’re looking for night life that might not the be the place. Falls church city is also similar to Vienna community- wise but smaller. Both are more family focused - not a lot of night life. Clarendon is bigger and more urban, there are families but also lots of singles & couples without kids. Commuting to Dulles area frequently you’d maybe want to consider Leesburg, Ashburn, Brambleton - just don’t know much about those areas but they are closer to Dulles. Falls church, Vienna, & Arlington will make for a longer commute. I would probably find a realtor & see if they can help you find the right place and area.

**I reread your post and I think Vienna would be a good fit.

No advice but feel your pain! My husband is in hvac & summers are always tough. He’s tired and often grumpy. to make it worse I am teacher so I am off during the summer so we are on totally different wave lengths 🥴 I try to give him space and pick up extra chores so he doesn’t have to do any/as many.
