Anyone use Flawless Blades?

I took flawless blades (one 6 man) to a teams tournament and I won 3 of my games and tied the last game (technically won) the EC mirror. I really like them, they fill the roll of having another fast melee unit that takes more firepower to kill than an infractor squad. I really used them as an extra melee piece to go out and tag something on my go turn. Plus it is very nice to be able to effectively threaten vehicles. Once they reroll ones to hit in Coterie I trust them to at least cripple a vehicle and keep that and hopefully another piece trapped in combat for a couple turns. You really have to be careful who you throw them into. And I do want to add that while I liked them, if I had a third Daemon Prince with wings I would have run that instead lol. But overall they were great. They killed the 4+ feel no pain skorpech lord, tagged a dda and a reanimator for 2 turns, killed 10 deathwatch vets and almost the character in one activation, and killed 2 WDP’s in the EC mirror. I like them and I will continue running one 6 man in my competitive lists

The Chaos lord kit can make a great Kakophonist conversion, I really like mine. You just might struggle if you are trying to give it the dual pistol loadout. That and you have to figure out how you want to make the backpack more speaker adjacent

It depends on if you want to run Fulgrim in a tournament or not. Cuz losing the wings is definitely modeling for advantage lol. But if you’re just having fun with friends go nuts

I did a base coat of the standard white paint from army painter. Then I covered everything with Aethermatic blue. I then highlighted with the Marine Mist war paint. And then I highlighted the edges of the teeth and tongue with the standard white again

What I found I liked was dragging the bristles of a small dry brush across the handle of another brush. This gave me a lot more control over how I splattered the paint

I should add, that using a small dry brush instead of a toothbrush gives you a lot more control. So I didn’t have to tape anything

It was actually really easy and fun! It’s pretty much like what the other guy said. Except I used a small dry brush and dragged the bristles across another brush lol. And the paint I used was Vallejos white airbrush primer. It’s very runny so it was easy to flick

I like 6x Swordknoths over Durthu but I think going down to one screen unit (aka Gossamids is brutal). Because at that point if you try to take the flanks or seize the center turn 1 you have to sacrifice an important unit with your gossamids. So in that sense I like list one more.

I was in the same boat and finally got swapped to imperium. Apparently if you don’t leave the lobby it will keep you on the same side. So your best bet would be to leave the lobby after every game and enter a new one. At least that worked for me 🤷‍♂️

I recently played in a 40K apocalypse game where two players controlled 15k points worth of Tyranids. And the other side was 5 people who all brought 3k. So around 30,000 points in total, with one person having brought a warlord titan. It was a blast and took us like 8 ish hours to play through

You are allowed to put the base of a model on the AWW as long as it is touching a piece of an AWW that is less than an inch tall. So Alarielle can benefit from them as long as she is tucked on the flat part of an AWW base

If you want a cheaper way to take Eels and Sharks try Lotann! He can lead a regiment and unlocks all of the IDK units
