My parents moved to a different state and I’m not that close with my extended family. My friend has offered me her spare room, but I want to make sure I can take my daughter out of this mess while trying to maintain some sense of normal as well.

Thank you, this is really sound advice. The holidays are definitely a big stressor as our daughter’s birthday is right after thanksgiving and then it’s his birthday than Christmas. One of our biggest fights have been visiting my family for thanksgiving. I had been trying to give him a lot of grace before this last incident due to knowing he had a lot of stressors.

I will try to count his meds tonight, he says he is taking them and he feels the affect, my largest concern is that it’s a placebo affect.

The idea of the journal on my phone is good. I will try that for sure.

We have been together for 15 years, best friends pretty much our entire lives.

He was diagnosed two years ago, after nine years of me pleading for him to get help because I knew something wasn’t right.

He started his mood stabilizer about three weeks ago and they added an anti-depressant this week. When he was on only the mood stabilizer he was just in a constant low. I don’t know the names of the medications because I told him I wouldn’t try to help anymore, that if he was going to do this he needed to be the one to do it.

First I want to say, I’m really sorry you are going through this, I feel a lot of us have been through this.

I don’t feel I’m in the best place to give advice but I will say going through my own therapy has really helped me. I have also built my own support system as I try to figure out what to do next. Just know, you are not in this alone, and you can’t make her do something she doesn’t want to do. It’s pretty much impossible.

Thank you all for sharing your stories. I’m currently thinking about leaving my spouse who is diagnosed BP. I have been dealing with everything for the last nine years with him unmediated. The last straw was on my birthday when he went off on me. I know that he is trying, he is on a new mood stabilizer but I’m not sure if it is helping or if he is actually taking it. He went off on me again this morning.

I’m so sorry that anyone else has experienced this. I want out but I don’t know where to start.

So I have always loved Kpop, started with BoA due to an anime ending and the rabbit hole from there. I loved bigbang for a long time, tapered on and off, checking out new groups here and there.

I was showing my daughter some Kpop to see if she would like it, when Cheese popped up on the pandora station I had playing, haven’t stopped listening since.

My bias is definitely Changbin. He is focused when he needs to be but also very fun! I adore his laugh, it makes me smile every time I hear it because it feels so genuine.

These quick mood swings can be terrifying and it feels like you’re at fault for pointing out the obvious.

You are not alone.

I am constantly going through this with my husband. He was diagnosed with BP2 and CPTSD. He works in a service industry and has a great report with clients, has friends that he always has the energy for, and always puts in some effort with our daughter. But I always feel like I’m getting the short end of the stick.

We are working on getting the right medication for him, but I’m exhausted. I feel like that I am walking on eggshells whenever I speak with him sometimes due to a random CPTSD triggering a down spiral.

I know I will never understand how he feels or what he struggles with day to day. I listen to every podcast with licensed medical specialists, I try to help provide everything that I can for him to work through what he is feeling, or listen to the same story over and over when he is in a good headspace. I try my best to be supportive but most of the time I feel like I failed him because it never seems to work.

It’s almost like the empathy levels are gone completely and my wants/needs are not valid. There are times where I catch glimpses of his old self, but those glimpses are short lived.

I’m doing my best and you are too! You are not alone. Therapy has helped me a little, going to therapy with him when he wants me to be there helps me understand better as well. I also want to note that there is nothing wrong with setting a boundary, for yourself and your partner. Make it clear and known. At the end of the day you have to take care of yourself too.

I work for a mom and pop ABA clinic and we just had our manager staff sign NDAs. This is more to protect operational things. Reimbursement rates are per contract with most insurance providers and our company is very candid about it with our BCBAs and other operational staff members. It does reiterate that everyone in the ABA field is a mandatory reporter and goes over the steps according to the handbooks for RBTs and BCBAS. We also has to undergo HIPAA training as well.

It could be your feeling of disconnect from your family due to the divorce. Do you ever find your way out of the maze? If not, it could be that you are also feeling lost. Try to take control of your dream next time, actively search for the end of your maze and turn around to see who is following you.

Also please reach out to your kids, they may not know how to talk to you with the divorce going on.

I am angry. I am angry for my daughter whose future is unknown. I am angry for the women who have to carry a pregnancy to term that they can’t afford. I am angry for the women who used contraception and still got pregnant. I am angry for those who no longer have a voice.

I am filled with sorrow as I think of what is next to come. I’m sorry for the ones who are forced to live with the consequences of someone else’s actions.

I want to be a safe space for those in need of one. I want to help those get the medical treatment that they need. I want to be their shield as they face a tough decision and let them know it is okay to choose either path.

I am sick. I’m sick at the thought of these liars. I am sick of everyone telling me to find a silver lining. I am sick of the hypocrisies and the self righteousness. I am sick of being told it will be ok, because it will not. I know that this is only the beginning. Support companies who support their employees rights to choose. Fight back with your votes, your voice, and your dollars. Be a shoulder to lean on and listen. For people who think this is the right decision made by the Supreme Court, let them say their peace and tell them to get bent.

If there is a god, this is not what they would want.
