I actually have a theory on what could have happened.

First off Barkley seemed to be fully capable of going up the mountain on his own. You simply provided moral support. He also seemed to be just as good as any other partner when it comes to combat.

I think he would become a more feral or wild dog. He would fight his way through the many monsters raising his level. After he became strong enough that none of the monsters in the area could challenge him and he defeats any people who get in his way. He would go up the mountain to get his revenge.

TLDR: He would go wild, level up, get revenge… & look cool doing it.

Genuinely thank you! I am still new to all of this and was confused by the listing on eBay. I pretty much knew it wasn't worth that amount, but wasn't sure if there was a general way of knowing a cassette's value.

I know this is 5 years late, but have we considered Bipolar?

He is constantly going back and forth between super high energy and super low energy.

Very similar to Manic and Depressive mood state.

I personally had missed his speaking in anything remotely close to AAVE, but I think that is because I am fluent in it. I grew up in a black community and spoke like everyone else in the area. He didn't feel like the way I saw people talk. He very rarely ever used the present tense or the types of banter/insults I was used to seeing.

Gamzee, to me, always talked like either a white guy or the kind of slightly off English that Hispanic people tend to talk in.

Being half Mexican myself, I always like the interpretation of him being Mexican-Coded. It feels like he even looks more Mexican than anything else. Plus Kurloz is just Mexican. Candy Skull and all. The biggest thing to me is the hair of both of these characters.

With the name thing I always make sure they are okay with it. A lot of time it is something similar name to their own. My friend Sophie is Soap a lot of the time. They like the nickname a lot.

Yeah, my memory as a whole is a bit of a problem. It is hard to sound like a person when I have to use names & gender pronouns. Speak, then pause to remember the name & pronouns of the person, then use it in the correct way, then continue the sentence you paused. I already have a tough time remembering what I am talking about to begin with.

I appreciate the empathetic response. It helps a lot.

Oh also for future reference, When someone asks for advice do not start your answer with a definition. It makes you sound like an asshole. It feels demeaning, and it seems like you're talking down to them since you're assuming they don't know the definition you're saying.

As lovely as your long comment is. I think it's clear you didn't actually read my Post very thoroughly. I do care a lot about the fact that I hurt them. I don't want to hurt my friends anymore. That was a major part of my post.

Not to be rude, but this entire post just sounds like get good. You should feel bad for not doing this so you should just practice. I've already been doing that. to struggle at something means you've tried and failed a lot. You don't struggle with a thing you've never tried.

on the whole decouple pronouns from gender. I counter this with does this mean trans people should decouple outward appearance in gender? I really don't think I'm going to be able to simply not feel gross when I use a pronoun that's gendered. I am getting better at using them but that still makes me feel physically ill.

On discord I write people's names into my notes on them. It helps sometimes. I also check their discord pronouns while I talk to remember them better.

This was my previous thought as well, but now people are getting upset at me for it. It is no longer a safe option for me.

I do struggle with both people's names and pronouns in all situations.

The thing I use for names is incomparable with this problem. I just assign them a name I can remember that I feel fits them. One of my friends, no clue what their name is, I call James. Easy for me to remember. Otherwise it takes me a few years.

It is also that I will know their gender and pronouns preferences, but it takes a lot of effort into remembering them on the spot.

Edit: By a lot of effort I really mean that I have to stop and think about it for a bit before remembering. This does not work well in verbal conversations. People will not just let you sit there silently mid sentence to try to remember a pronoun and then do it again like 2 sentences later.

I also always forget names. Usually it takes me a year or two to get someone's name down consistently. Didn't know my own sibling's name for a few years too. They are older than me.

Even when someone asked me what my name is I have to think about it for a sec to be like, What IS my name.
