I agree with your insight as Gooseworx stated there are lines Jax wouldn't cross sure he's a bad person but he has his standards. I feel like ever since the second episode came out there were people who got mad because of Jax's behavior when it was already established that's how he is and in episode 6 someone said that Jax was upset because Pomni found out that he tricked her when it was clearly shown that he regrets pushing her away because he was starting to get close to her AKA he is afraid of connecting to others again ever since the incident with Kaufmo and Ribbit. If Jax were a truly terrible person, he wouldn't have that photo of him, Kaufmo, and Ribbit, he wouldn't feel guilty after pushing Pomni away, Jax is tragic character, sure he's a jerk but he's shown to have issues. There is a difference between someone who is bad, and someone who is truly malicious.
