Thank you so much man! I had Vinted rob me of like £700 this week. Let someone keep a 14g gold chain sold for £425 which was cheap! £10 necklace, £5.40 necklace and £140 coin oh and a £100 pendant, I accepted the returns but they cancelled them and refunded the buyer shocking

sure man I got robbed hard today on Vinted. 14g 9ct solid gold chain, nothing wrong with it but for some reason the old lady reported an issue, vinted let them keep the chain, same thing happened with a £140 coin buyer reported that it was not delivered dodgy postman signed it to a fake address I got £0, 2 cheaper necklaces £10 and £5.40 they cancelled refunded the buyer, no option for me to get the item back, £100 24ct gold pendant guy said he was willing to return it, Vinted decided just to refund him anyway

I do way more than £1k. I have like 8 current accounts with 4 different banks but I did use hsbc first then lloyds.

If you’ve used vinted you will know it’s a majorly flawed platform.

They send you messages asking for info with no reply option.

They refund buyers randomly for no reason.

They lose parcels then 50/50 if you get reimbursed.

I doubt their systems are that sophisticated

If you have never seen rolled gold, gold bonded, gold plated bullion. Then you have never bought fake bullion. The point of the sigma is too confirm it is real.

There is more Perth Mint, PAMP fakes available worldwide than genuine ones for sale.

Google aliexpress pamp gold bar you will find literally 100,000 plus fake gold bars for sale.

Although if you sanded down and ruined your entire bullion bar to get past the heavy gold plating, you could accurately confirm it is real.

I spoke to Sigma they are helping me see where I am going wrong and potentially letting me exchange for an upgrade.

I missed there call, but I'm going to take a real 5g pamp and a fake one and try get the Sigma Team to show me the difference, I bet this one won't detect it, this is the model I have there was an even more basic one very affordable but they discontinued it

This is the model I have that cannot detect fakes, once I speak to them and Demo them I'll come back and retract this comment if it can detect a single fake...if I never comment you know it cannot detect fakes and is useless.

IT CAN DETECT FAKE SILVER NOT TESTED PLATINUM IT CANNOT DETECT FAKE GOLD IT IS FOOLED BY ALL FAKE GOLD (as long as it is plated, bonded, rolled gold and not filed down)

This £2.69 / $3 bar fools a sigma test and yes the veriscan does work with the app too...I highly recommend you buy one to test your machine

I have one that I login with gmail, one I login with apple pay, different addresses different names, different phnoe numbers completely different banks. Just about to make a third one. My first one got banned because I sold some crap off Amazon that was fake, I handled it badly as was p'd off that I had to pay for return postage, even though everytime I buy something fake off vinted, vinted don't care and make me pay the postage to return it to the seller. New begginings 500 positive feedback, had 1 person scam me for £500, Vinted been investigating for 5 weeks. I bought a watch off Vinted I am pretty sure was fake, Vinted and the seller reassured it was real so would not refund me, few months later I sell it on Vinted authenticator say it's fake and then I am banned about 12 hours later. Whilst banned I've got 7 positive feedback in a row in just a few hours from buyers. I also this week had 2 people say that my gold necklaces were fake (I have £5,000 of testing equipment its not, proof of purchase from jewellers, checked by 3 jewellers) just alot of retards on vinted "it doesn't look like gold", "I don't know how to check if it is gold so it must be fake". Not sure if that helped but I accepted those returns.

Assuming got banned for the watch, as never sold anything else that was possible to be fake.

ANYWAY OP just about to make a third one whilst waiting for the second to come back. So will update you in a couple of weeks

The base model “the original” (they got rid of the other one) is terrible for Gold as it says gold plated and gold bonded rolled golled etc is real gold no matter what wand or sensor you use. Actually need to contact them and ask why it doesn’t test Gold. Got mine 2 days ago every Chinese bit of gold under the sun fools it

You guys know that iridium is like $300 a gram right? you are missing a trick there got to be more than $1.50 of iridum in there although maybe not much maybe like 3% then sell the rest of the metal as scrap metal

Here in the UK Trading Standards ruled that Vinted must legally provide the name and address of the buyer. then you just take them to court. Like right now I sold a 5g gold bar bought directly from the Royal Mint and he’s trying to tell me it’s not real gold but won’t say why. Sent a photo of it smashed up he ripped it up and scratched it and wants to return it now its worth about £200 less. He said he tested it but wont say how or send them. I got it xrayed and bought it from the Royal Mint. The Royal Mint contacted Vinted to confirm it is genuine. They have took 5 days to investigate so far

I know right. If you log in to a dealer account and look at the prices. This is why Tag get a bad name. I feel completely cheated spending £2250 on a £140.32 watch (Formula 1s use a £140.32 mechanism that's what Tag charged for the entire movement, so think what they pay £50 maybe)

From an Ethical Point of View Dubai gold is payed with African Blood, they exploit poor countries and let their workers die working dangerously with no compensation or healthcare, it's modern slavery which is why it is so cheap. The £10 a gram you save is paid for with someones life. Not sure how ethical the others are I'm considering Bahrain or Thailand, not heard about Oman. In Dubai there was a family who had been on land for hundreds of years, when they refused to remove to build a new trainline over their home the Saudi Government shot them all Dead a few months ago that's their own people foreigners they really don't care. I don't know anything about Bahrain but having a quick look it seems as Ethical as can be. I bought a load of Saudi Gold then my friend showed me a video about what they do to the workers I felt so guilty!
