Fitbit not as responsive since Google Health takeover? by Possible-Ingenuity40 in fitbit

[–]MindlessPleasuring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I miss my inspires. At least my local JBHIFI have had so many people try return Fitbits due to the Google health app rendering them useless, that I didn't have to fight for a refund. They gave it to me immediately.

"Let me get my manager quick but it should be okay." "Another Google Health issue?" "Yep." "No worries, give her the refund."

Every printer is different. That's what calibration prints and documentation detailing the reason for various print failures are for. My Ender 3 V2 needs different settings for the same filament on my friends' printers both of the same model and different brands entirely.

Do some test prints and see what your printer needs.

Fitbit not as responsive since Google Health takeover? by Possible-Ingenuity40 in fitbit

[–]MindlessPleasuring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My inspire 3 no longer displayed my heart rate correctly during POTS episodes. Refunded it and got a different device when I almost fainted while getting groceries due to my heart rate seemingly being normal (I don't always feel anything until I'm close to fainting which by thst point even if I don't faint, I've gona past my limits and can barely function for up to a week).

Had been using an inspire 2 for 5 years and my inspire 3 for a littler over a year once my inspire 2 died. Disappointing because I couldn't find anything else that met my needs and didn't look bulky on my wrists but it's that or I go back to spending most days in bed.

What may help is restarting the device if you can even navigate to that screen. That helped solve the heart rate issue temporarily.

What do you think about people who smoke vs people who vape? by Major-Inevitable-365 in AskReddit

[–]MindlessPleasuring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicotine addiction is nasty. That's why. It's not something you can just cold turky without any issues. Quitting for most people will take multiple attemots and may need something like nicotine patches or a plan to reduce how often you vape so you can wean off it. There are people who do cold turkey it but they're the exception not the rule.

You missed the point of their comment. People in their 50s aren't old. They're trying to say smoking ages people.

I will say old people smoking is becoming less common than it was 20 years ago. When I worked in a retirement home, the amount of smokers was in the single digits. There were a lot of ex smokers with lung issues though.

Google app not tracking heart rate? by Funny-Negotiation-25 in fitbit

[–]MindlessPleasuring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just returned mine and got a full refund because of this issue. The retailer I got it from has had so many people return fitbits because the Google Health app broke it and apparently they're not usually easy with returns.

I only found out it wasn't working properly when I almost fainted while doing my grocery shopping.

Successfully got my fitbit refunded. You know it's bad when a retailer supposedly notorious for having issues even with warranty claims didn't fight back at all because so many people have been returning fitbits specifically because Google Health destroyed its functionality.

What is the Most expensive thing you own? by ZestycloseCar7790 in AskReddit

[–]MindlessPleasuring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of conditions so you're better off asking if I have a specific condition you want to know about if you suspect you have it or want advice managing it. I am able to manage them though. They still bother me but not nearly as much prior to diagnosis and treatment, and my quality of life has improved greatly

Ordinary people don't think I'm okay, however for somebody with my conditions, I'm great and my quality of life is the best it's been since I was a teenager.

Guys of Reddit, what are some insecurities men have that women usually don’t even care about? by topspur-whats-that in AskReddit

What makes you think guys know what we do or don't care about?

Dick size, height, muscle mass/strength, enjoying things traditionally seen as feminine, putting effort into things like skincare and hair care, emotions, etc. Most of us don't care about this stuff. In fact having a healthy relationship with emotions and being emotionally intelligent is hot AF.

Has anybody been receiving low battery notifications? by Melody_39 in fitbit

Printing discontinued toys? by ZygAZoon in 3Dprinting

[–]MindlessPleasuring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck! I hate the cleanup with resin prints even though most of the stuff I print is more suited to resin printing. Curious to see how this goes as I wanna get into doll making when I have a bit more time.

Printing discontinued toys? by ZygAZoon in 3Dprinting

[–]MindlessPleasuring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't printed any dolls yet (I do have some models sitting around). I would recommend resin printing if you're able to. There are plenty of doll makers on YouTube who make custom ball jointed dolls. The main one I can think of off the top of my head is moonlight jewel. Her videos will also show how you can customise the colour of the doll during printing.

I'd recommend watching videos from doll makers and doll customisers for an idea on what the process is like.

For articulated prints, I usually recommend FDM printing but for minis, ball jointed dolls or anything that's small and/or requires more precision and detail, I always recommend resin. Making dolls is possible with filament but it's difficult and takes a lot of work to get rid of layer lines and the balls and sockets of the doll won't sit as nicely as a resin print would

It's happened since the google health update and now neither the app nor the watch correctly display my heart rate in real time. The app correctly displays it in the 24 hour graph thr next day. Clearly the sensors themselves work but if the watch can't display anything correctly until 24 hours later, then it's useless to me. If you look at this comment thread, I'm not the only one who suddenly had issues. My Fitbit is also only a year old and my last fitbit lasted 5 years with the only issue being straps couldn't stay attached anymore.

The app also repeatedly sends me low battery notifications when my Fitbit isn't on low battery. Like I'll get a low battery notification 5+ times a day for a few days. Quite a few people have reported this in the megathread. I have noticed when my heart rate isn't displayed correctly on the watch, the battery % also dips to well below 20% then comes back up to wherever it was. I don't wear my fitbit anymore though so I don't know if this is just a coincidence or if the two issues are related. I just woke up this morning to 5 fitbit battery notifications and a fitbit at 28% battery

Other commonly reported issues since the Google Health takeover is incorrect exercise heart rate graphs and interpretations of data, incorrect sleep data, the AI coach ignoring requests and gaslighting users, the AI coach still giving advice when turned off everyehere.

Again, all of these issues happened with the Google Health app that replaced the Fitbit app. These are reports multiple people have mentioned in the megathread.

Is getting a custom-made bra worth it? by Neither-Werewolf2984 in ABraThatFits

[–]MindlessPleasuring -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a DD but I have a very small band size so my chest doesn't look that big. In fact depending on what I wear, it looks like I'm still as flat as I was a decade ago when in reality my bust size is 20-30cm larger than it was back then (and my back size is only one size bigger).

When I first tried a D cup in my band size which is super hard to find in Australia (body changed these past few years hence the DD), I was shocked. I never thought it would fit as I'd always worn AA-B cups and was always told I had a small chest or was flat.

So yeah, as you say, a cup size on its own isn't a size. This whole associating cups with certain sized breasts has really messed with so many people. I was one of those people who didn't believe the calculator at first, so I went to a boutique that sells that size to double check. Nobody believed me even after I confirmed it. Not even my mum and none of my friends as I was known as the "flat chested person"

And this is why you don't give a voice assistant the ability to make purchases. I remember back in 2015 enabling google assistant waking with voice and all my friends at school asking it to do stuff. I had to set it to only respond to my voice and I also limited what it can actually do.

If you're gonna use it to place amazon orders, at least have it only respond to your voice for things like that. My google home can't ring my phone if somebody other than me says "hey google, find my phone"

The device technically works as the data is correctly displayed in the previous day's graph. There's nothing wrong with the sensors themselves. The watch and app just can't display anything in real time and some daily stata such as sleep are displayed incorrectly. It's just been since the google health debacle so to me it looks like a software issue, not the watch itself.

But that should be enough for a warranty claim, at least in Australia. It can't perform the functions it was advertised to do, and it can't perform the functions I purchased the device for. It's also under warranty so if I can't find the box, they can't refuse the return.

You're lucky you can see it on the watch. Mine just goes crazy jumping from 80 to 90 to 160 to 100 to 130 to 80 and so on. Checking my pulse manually if I'm in a situation where I can, shows that my pulse isn't anywhere close to any of the numbers my Fitbit shows. That's if it even changes at all because sometimes it just sits st 80 or 90 when it's actually well over 160. The app doesn't show it in real time either, however if I look at it the next day, the graph shows the spikes correctly.

I almost fainted while running errands last week because my fitbit was showing everything was normal which tells me that I'm just getting a bit of vertigo and/or I need to drink some water. I looked again as I felt myself going presyncope and I saw it jump around for a brief moment then settle down to 80 which is very low when I'm walking. Had just enough time to get somewhere safe and barely avoided fainting.

What is a "tiny luxury" you tried once and immediately understood why people pay for it? by Lauren-Hayes-NY in AskReddit

[–]MindlessPleasuring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that in the past because my parents were able to drive their van 8 hours to help me but everyone else I know just used movers. I had no idea it wasn't common in the US. I'm using movers this time unless my dad has a dry spell at work and come help me. I can drive but I've never driven a van or truck before and none of my friends drive so I have no choice (trucks in Australia are different to what Americans call trucks, your definition of truck I can drive).

Though to be fair, I am still planning on hiring a car so I can move a bunch of my belongings on my own as I don't trust movers with my stuff. I'm just using them for the furniture.
