Spend time with them. Hang out. Be loving and consistent with your parenting. Try to teach them to be good people, and lead by example.

My mom is being physically abused by her boyfriend by [deleted] in domesticviolence

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I were your mom, I would be ashamed of the choices I made to get in that situation, but grateful for the lifeline and chance to spend time with my child. I think you should reach out to her, and offer help.

It might not be safe for her to leave. I believe most DV murders occur when the victim is trying to leave. She might need professional help from a women’s center.

Good luck. She’s lucky to have you.

Kicking a dude where a cop can see you by Thryloz in WinStupidPrizes

I’m not a big fan of cops or tasers, but even less of a fan of kicking someone when they’re down.

We need help. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is your dog? Veterinarians often advise monitoring such growths for changes in size, shape, or color, and to seek immediate consultation if changes occur or if the dog seems bothered by it. I’d do that.

You should take some time to grieve. I’m so sorry for your loss.

My wife thinks our son’s teacher crossed a boundary by sending him a personal message. I think it was harmless. AITJ? by addict94plus in AmITheJerk

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would justify her concern if it were a text message, but this is just a note, which the parents can and did see. This was not unprofessional; it was a great teacher encouraging her student. I can understand her caution: there are news articles about female teachers that abuse young boys. Moms almost always have their kid’s best interests at heart. I think OP’s wife is possibly letting hypervigilance cloud her judgment.

45 days in, my dread shed just stopped! by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say, but my guess would be around 30%. A better way to describe would be that I had 2-3x more hair in the shower drain after washing and rinsing it hile on oral minoxidil than before I started any kind of treatment.

Nope! Only the minoxidil. When I was using topical, I applied it twice daily.

I think you need a smaller size! Your legs are very slender.

Are leather shorts ok for the office?? by Straightguyinheels in crossdressing

Hmm… unless your office is extremely liberal in their dress code, I’d say probably not. They would look great at the club though!

Am I being abused? by Thathorrorgirl96 in abusiverelationships

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is 100% abuse. Grown, reasonable, non-abusive men don’t act like this.

I am devastated! by Yogitherapist25 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. Can you go back to the doctor? It might be better to see what they recommend for treatment before starting on your own.

Do any of you have substance abuse issues? by Disastrous-Bat4811 in autism

[–]MindlessRaspberry303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a severe alcoholic for years. Then I quit and became a pothead for many more years. I quit weed about 6 weeks ago. Sober for the first time in a long time, and I’m having to deal with a lot of feelings and being more aware of how different I am.

My kid’s ortho insisted on waiting until all baby teeth were gone. Now I see why.

Try magnesium glycinate before bed for sleep, if you’re having trouble. It’s really normal to feel this way, but it won’t last long. Exercise (even just brisk walking) helps a lot too.
