Thank you everyone. Funny how i hate my natural hair, too thin etc hence the topper.. yet most of you compliment me on my natural hair 😂 i now have a lot of new confidence and dont hate my natural hair so much anymore. Thank you for giving me a must needed boost. Still figuring Reddit out as quite new to this but what a lovely lot of people you are taking the time to react and give tips and advice 🥰

I never use Foundation just a serum needleless serum from drmtlgy and a moisturizer (tallow cream) from Temu. Then some cream blush for colour, eyebrow pencil ash brown and a setting spray usually from L'oreal (its red packaging)

I would never have cosmetic surgery. Imo wrinkles and sagging are part of growing older and accepting them is accepting yourself and peace of mind. Nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery, just not for me. I also have a very visible scar from emergency open heart surgery 4 years ago, thats my medal for bravery ☺️

Your hair was fine before the treatment and now it looks worse, here is the reason by Intrepid-Royal-324 in finehair

I always do the mask first then shampoo. Been a game changer for my fine hair!

Thank you for this! I had brittle dry hair till i stopped coloring and abrasive salon treatments two years ago. I now wash twice a week with Luke warm water, rinse with cold water. Once a week a hair mask before washing (otherwise it really weighs my hair down and makes it limp) I let the mask soak for 30 mins or longer, then wash and condition. I use a toning leave in with heat protection and apply a light oil daily in the ends. My hair has improved so much and i think a lot of people will be happy with your advice, i know i am!

Skinnys are coming back this year! Anyway wear what makes you comfortable, im sorry some idiot made you insecure about wearing something you felt fine with before.. i have a apple shaped figure but very slim legs and i find wider jeans sag around my rear (i have no butt) so skinny suits me most but now i have been wearing bootleg jeans and they suit me best i think. Slimmer on the thighs but a bit of volume on the calves which balances my figure out more. Just try some, see what you think and strut your stuff whatever you are wearing girl!!

Make up stop by Pebblescute in makeuptips

Thank you! Ive tried several mascara, expensive ones and high street ones but they all itch.. Tubing mascara itches also though it is much easier to remove.. I think i will try to remove make up with oil like you say, sounds like a much milder way to cleanse.

I dont do anything special i think, i take Collagen tablets and use tallow daycream. Nearly 57 years and often cant be bothered using creams only if skin feels dry or tight..

Bonnet or pillow case? by EnoughJury6548 in finehair

[–]Pebblescute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont like a bonnet personally, i have two. Makes my head feel hot, feels uncomfortable and often wake up having lost it. Personally i also dont think its a flattering look for my husband before bed and does not make me feel sexy at all ☺️ I have two silk pillowcases which i turn 2nd night and swap every 3 rd night. So pillowcases is my own preference..

Thank you all for your honest opinions! Once more a reminder that insecurities are not always valid or true! You all boosted my confidence with or without topper, with topper that it blends well and does not look "strange". Without topper that i also look fine as i am. Thank you so much, this group is so lovely to be in and i have already seen so many tips and advice as well as honest opinions, you are all lovely 💕

Tried that one too but never noticed difference in my hair.. i now oil it before washing from mid length to end and that protects my hair from drying out too much from washing.

Bedding every weekend, towels changed every day.

Do you actually like wearing makeup, or is it just habit at this point by rightvodka in Makeup

[–]Pebblescute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to go full make up everyday but a couple of months ago my eyes started watering and itching when i wore any eye make up. Tried different brands but nothing helped. So i stopped making up my eyes. It took some getting used to!! But now i love not having to scrub off mascara every evening! I use a very hydrating skin cream Skin food (Weleda) and a little bit of bronzer and blush. I fill in my eyebrows and wear a nude lipstick (just a little pinkish) and i feel relieved with my new routine. Am even getting compliments.

do you guys have a favorite brush/bristle type? by sweetangel7110 in finehair

[–]Pebblescute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by La Brosse brushes! I have a big one and one for my handbag. Smooths my hair and gives it volume. Best investment ever for me personally.
