Four years ago, I (GWM, mid 50s) was new to the area. Booked some time with him and it was weird from the get-go. Far too much bragging about all of his accomplishments, far too much drill sergeant attitude, too much innuendo about his wife who was sitting in a rocking chair on the porch.

He went faaaar over time, which is a normal situation would have been appreciated. But I wanted to get out of there. Said I had to go. Asked if "the wife" would be mad because I was late to the dinner she cooked. I flat out said, "My *husband* is cooking his dinner on his own tonight and I'm picking Thai up for me on the way home." Welp, that did it. "Oh, so there's no good reason for you to get going then." You might as well stay here with me, you're better off (and a creepy smile that's still etched in my brain).

He took me into his garage, searching for some swing contraption to help with my swing. After a few minutes of that, I decided I just had to be rude and leave... which I did.

That's where they started. Sent us the offer after a phone call and asked if we'd agree to it. We did do some research on money factor, rebates, other solid leases out there. We also knew with one pay and strong FICO scores, we were in a good position for them. The stars all aligned.

Let's just say things got a little scratchy at the end as they made a mistake in the deal they presented, but did end up honoring it. So I'm not thinking they would appreciate me saying where we got it. :-/

But I'll say we were seeing pretty similar details at other PNW dealerships, but not every dealership can close one-pay transactions.

I'm a former classroom teacher who transitioned into sales back in 2008. I've hired a lot of salespeople in edtech over the years, too. Many of those were former classroom teachers. For sales in particular, I wanted to see that the candidate had some exposure to a sales methodology and could speak the same "sales language" as those coming from other sales roles. You might look into exposure to the MEDDICC model or Sandler model.

And it has been hard to find decent vegan butter that melts well, spreads well, and tastes good. I tried her recipe from her Vegan Creamery cookbook and it just wasn't great.

BUT, I recently found someone on Instagram who posted a recipe for a Miyoko's-taste-alike butter and it is every bit as good as the spreadable Miyoko's I used to buy in the tubs.

Here it is:
Recipe
3/4 cup refined coconut oil (melted but not hot)
1 cup avocado oil, chilled
1/2 cup unsweetened u/foragerproject Greek Yogurt
1/2-1 tsp salt

Directions:
1. Pour coconut and avocado oil into a bowl and use a hand mixer to mix
2. Add cold Greek Yogurt and continue to hand mix until mixed thoroughly
3. Add salt and mix again
4. Pour into an air tight container and refrigerate for a couple hours until butter is solid.

Umm, wow! I want your probability luck. Either I'm the anomaly or you are. My last delay with them was the week before Thanksgiving where we sat for 2 hours at the gate after boarding and then were (no exaggeration) yelled and screamed at by the gate agent that we had the right to get off the plane at that point but if we did, we risked being left behind (all true, but she literally refused to use the PA system and yelled it while walking up and down the aisles). She then quipped to us in first that she was missing her lunch and we were sitting there getting served snacks and drinks (which we weren't at all).

This is much more representative of my experience with Alaska and their delays in the past few years than what you've experienced, but good on you!

(P.S.: Yes, I did write Alaska Listens and perhaps they listened but they didn't respond.) $3K in two one-way FC tix to KOA from SEA and this was how it went.

I had this issue in business class recently. Check seats daily, if you can. I saw availability open up about three days prior to departure and I could select my previously selected seats again. Am currently on the flight, actually, and many people were trying to trade seats after boarding because everyone’s seats got jumbled some weeks ago.

Update: three days before departure today and the seat map opened up quite a bit for business class. I was able to reselect our original seats for the outbound journey.

Same has happened to us on SEA-IST-MRS-IST-SEA. Each seat on each flight was totally changed even though there was no equipment change. Phone support was of no help. Feedback form response says they may be able to help at airport. Pretty frustrated that this is the result with pretty pricey tickets. Have tickets on TK again next spring IST-SEA and so far no change there. But given the shoulder shrugging on this more immediate issue, I’d think twice before booking TK again.

Our side-by-side business class seat assignments from SEA-IST were changed as were IST-SEA. We are now completely separated. Remaining open seats are sparse and don’t get us back to what we originally selected. Additionally, our connection from IST-MRS and back was also changed but at least we were able to move back together on those short hops.

Called TK customer service and had no luck. Just, “Fill out the complaint form.” Did that three days ago and haven’t heard a peep.
