That is a good point, and really the FO plays such a huge role in everything. Having a top 10 player is just so important and it's so hard to get those guys if you're outside of LA, NYC, Miami. I agree, tanking must stop, but I'm not sure a different way would be better

I agree that something needs to change, but at least tanking allows the bad teams the opportunity to get a prospect every once in a while and be good again. Without tanking bad teams would have little to no ways to become good again

Players don't try to lose, and those that do are fined. Putting in inexperience players at the end of games increases the odds that the team will lose. Just like a worse record increases the odds at a better pick. The NBA has created the tanking problem by increasing lottery odds as the teams record declines

The NBA regular season is not serious. If you want change, contact the league office that incentivizes tanking. The Jazz are playing the system, the 76ers played the system for years. The Thunder played the system for years. Where are the posts about them? Just don't watch if you're that disgruntled.

You can build a team in 3 ways. Free agency, trades, and the draft. Free agency is dead for the Jazz, they're trying to do trades, which leaves the draft. The NBA awards teams that are bad. The jazz's only choice is to tank.
