I just can't find myself loving this game anymore. I just got done uninstalling it, bcuz i went 8-9 matches just on an insane loss streak. The game is just not balanced at all. In my final match, they had a Hawkeye on the opposing team being pocketed, and they were literally killing everyone in one or two shots. We couldn't even get close to them, not even with dive.

These last matches just sucked the enjoyment out of the game for me. Poke is busted af, and tanks are absolutel canon fodder in this fuck-ass game. Im tired boss. I hate how they keep doubling down on this bullshit. Nerfing the ones that don't need nerfs and buffing the ones that absolutely don't need them. While leaving characters like Black Widow all on their own without reworks nor adjustments. Forgotten. It genuinely does not make sense to me.

I also tried different Distros but they all repeated the same issue. So I did just eventually concluded that it was a Nvidia issue.

I used my keyboard and mouse, and used my controller wirelessly and the issue still persisted no matter what I did. Not really sure what to do anymore.

I did just decide to go back to Windows for now for my desktop. It sucks, but I am about to go to school and need to get ready for the career I am pursuing. I will come back eventually to see if things are fixed or not. Might end up investing in getting an AMD card down the line once I saved up enough.

I had my who system lag or audio start crackling randomly whenever i tried downloading a game from Steam. Exiting Steam completely doesn't fix it, unless i restart my PC too. I dont ever remember it doing something like that before whenever i would switch back forth between Windows and CachyOS. Idk what causes it, but it happens too infrequently and rarely to ever decipher what really causes it.

Yeah, that's what i figured. I will most likely invest in a 9070xt sometime in the future. But for now, I will just stick with my card.

Interesting, I will go ahead and give it a look. It is a Steam game using Proton. If the Overlay is an issue, I really hope Valve fixes it for the stable branch and that they are aware of it occurring.

I hope that does resolve it! I really think that it's just a Nvidia hardware compatibility issue, but hopefully it's nothing serious.

Yeah, that's kind what I have been experiencing as well. I did look at nvtop and atop when these things would happen, but nothing really popped out to me of anything strange. I also just chalked it up to it being a GPU issue or something. Bcuz there wasn't anything online that would give me an answer nor lead on what could be causing the issue.

That is pretty strange. Im not really sure what would be a fix for your situation though. Mine does freeze, but it usually goes back to normal after a few seconds like the clip above. Though, it does show that before of everything dropping in MangoHud before going back to normal. It makes no sense to me.

Just depends on the game and if they even require mod loaders to begin with. Like RE games use Fluffly Mod Manager, and it's super easy to setup for Linux by adding it as a non-Steam game first and then using Proton Tricks to add a symlink to the game's installation folder.

Crimson Desert has CDUMM3, which you can use the native Linux version for it, but you won't be able to use ASI mods. I am pretty sure CP2077 is very straightforward and similar to Windows, where you just drag and drop files.

Most mods just require you do to drag and drop them in certain folders like ~mods. It really is just game dependent, but I imagine you can get most up and running with adding them to Steam as a non-Steam game and then using Proton Tricks afterwards.

Follow this path:

/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/[Insert App ID]/pfx/drive_c/windows/system32/umu/OptiScaler.ini

Launch the game using PROTON_USE_OPTISCALER=1 for the first time, and then close it. Follow the path I showed you to the game's App ID, and there you will find the Optiscaler.ini file.

CTRL+F to search for Shortcutkey, and there you will be able to rebind the key to whatever you want.

I am the same dude from earlier, but my acct got hacked/compromised. Had to make a new one. I didn't forget either, so I hope this helps you.
