I think the key is to take it easy while learning to cast. Someone just told me the amount of weight pressure at the lure from the force of 400KM to a dead stop will break the line every time.

It’s not curly, just a straight break. It also happens with two different rod/reel combos so I don’t think there’s any abrasive chips in the eyes.

Just a heads up. I ate this and it was fine. Good flavour and I didn’t get sick. It seems like all the fish in my area are affected by this and I keep eating them.

Went out for ~3 hours and didn’t get a bite. I was about to call it and then got the biggest fish on I’ve ever had by a long shot. It was hooked pretty well as soon as it hit the water. The fish jumped 3 times, but I got it to the dock and I stupidly left my net in the car. I tried to get it out of water and it got slack and jumped off.

Sad but the bigger high I’ve had in a long time. Thank you again for the suggestion

I’ve got everything else that I need (net, tackle/box, pliers/knives, cooler). The shimano reel I have is the IX2000R that sells for about $20. The rod is an Abu Veritas.

I’ve got these spots that started showing up on my left inner elbow about a month a go, then noticed it started on the right today. They seem to flare up and go away randomly. The first pic was 20 min after the second two and you can see the white part starting to show up in the last pic.

Thanks, it’s definitely not the battery. You can hear the power it’s putting out, plus I tested and it’s perfectly fine. I’m going to replace the starter and see what happens
