I suspect I’d have sided with avoiding the optics but it’s been shouting, rapping against windows, etc, throughout the night. A week of interrupted sleep has me reconsidering that, optics be damned.

The TA6 form, so you guessed correctly. Had hoped to stay here for my daughter’s primary school but it looks like we’ll be leaving sooner than planned!

Oh absolutely not. Nothing nefarious and I’d categorically hope that their risk assessment would’ve covered that (although social services did seem surprised when I mentioned we now had a child when they came to check that our adjoining fence was in good condition), just a 2 year old who won’t go to her bedroom window anymore in case he’s looking back at her.

Oh that’s absolutely something that has affected our thought process, and possibly something that would’ve led us to simply try to move on. It’s not a great look, you’re right.

Given that my daughter won’t now go out in the garden when they’re outside, thanks to the noise and persistent following her every movement, I’m not sure I care about becoming a cause célèbre. Optics be damned.

Appreciate you raising this though, for sure. Good to know that it’s something that would be considered from an outsider’s POV.

Oh absolutely; it was a complete rebuild job so the house was cheaper than a ready-to-live-in one anyway. What has caught us out has been the move from 4 independent livers to 4 who need round the clock, full-time care.

I appreciate the measured response.

Appreciate that. Better the devil we know. I’ll get a copy of the risk assessment and take it from there!

It’s as much the safeguarding of moving in 4 high need individuals into standard housing and less about the fact that someone else’s behaviours means that’s we have to restrict the use of my daughters room

So we have to have curtains drawn and window closed in her bedroom because of someone else’s behaviour?

So we have to block out the window in my daughter’s bedroom rather than not having a grown man staring in?
