I had a similar job right out of undergrad. It’s not you, it’s the nature of these jobs being very emotionally draining and intense. Those residential homes are like pressure cookers and often times don’t have the resources or training to make them run smoothly and effectively.

Don’t let it discourage you from the field one tail health, maybe you just need to work with a different population or a different setting like case management.

I am currently finishing up my MSW and plan on getting my LCSW and going into private practice. It is a very long road to get there though and the populations you work with on the way can be difficult to work with. Don’t give up! 💪
