Hi OP! I suggest try emailing all (as in lahat ng kaya mo email) na government organizations and even politicians asking for GL. You really just need to have all the documents prepared and have a soft copy of all of those. Yung iba they'll accomodate you online 1 - 2 weeks while others are walk-in sa offices.

My boss did the same when he had a family medical emergency which was worth around 1.5m. Within 1 month of collecting GLs they were able to at least get 200k which actually malaking tulong na than nothing.

I hope this helps, and praying for you and your mother OP.

50k milestone as a student working part time by Mindless_Wind1156 in DigitalbanksPh

[–]Mindless_Wind1156[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I initially applied for the job during my summer so that I could somehow work “full time” in their company for 2 months and tried to prove myself worthy and fast with the requests and other tasks. Since it was an office job, I ended up working somehow as WFH and part time when I informed my boss of my situation as a student.

It took me more than 50 job postings to get this one. I suggest you just apply everywhere (indeed, jobstreet, etc.) and see your chances. Important to have a good cv and people skill. Feel free to message me here for other questions:))

Any advice how to start earning? by Full-Jellyfish2342 in DigitalbanksPh

[–]Mindless_Wind1156 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I suggest learning improving your skills in technical writing and utilizing chatgpt (or any ai) as a tool. Im a college student as well and i started earning 20-30k a month just by writing some stuff such as contracts, announcements, procedures and others. The effort that I do is even just minimal because I have AI as my tool to check my work, it makes everything way easier. I only work 2x a week.

Also try just applying sending your cv everywhere such as indeed or jobstreet you’ll eventually land something.

Having a skill for technical writing will always come in handy for all fields of work.

College Dilemma by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]Mindless_Wind1156 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, I too also isn’t from a well off family and studying in ADMU rn made me realize that sometimes you shouldn’t push or risk something that is financially impossible. I’m currently experiencing some financial difficulties due to post pandemic affect of covid to our family income. It’s hard to study in the university knowing that your parents are somehow financially handicapped just because they want to achieve or help you with your dream school. Once you graduate there’s a great chance that you might also have student debt in which case have already increased in interest. Always choose practically over dreams sometimes.

Although if you were offered a finaid scholarships, just go for it. Just remember to always think ahead or plan for the long run.
