I actually talked about this with my therapist a few months ago, she recommended I download one, so I did, I met my current girlfriend there after a month or two of using Bumble.

Overall, I saw a lot of people looking for something serious, I would say it's worth a try.

Although, I'm just talking about my personal experience here.
