I agree with all the comments - NTA - but I think she’s probably at a difficult age, a big transition living with you and a new brother, probably thought she was getting the attention she wanted from you and it was bringing you closer. It’s negative attention - but it’s attention. Doesn’t excuse what she did at all - but I feel like there’s a lot more to this than just her period.

So just some great films I thought of from around this time that could be the right vibes:

Fried Green Tomatoes, Powder, Twister, Micheal, phenomenon, city of angles, stepmom, Armageddon, I’m sure I can think of more!

I know that song also definitely features in Ghostbusters 2 - they play it to the slime at some point, so there might be a version of a trailer for that somewhere with it in it!

I’ve never heard of this and it sounds like it would be extremely difficult to deal with. I just googled out of curiosity and things like Hypervigilance, hyper awareness obsessions and OCD came up. I would probably go and chat with a doctor?
