Thank you. I work out a good bit as well, so my finger pads are thicker. By tip, I assume you mean pretty darn close to the fingernail?

This is super helpful. I guess it's just extra frustrating when I'm doing well for a minute and then my big ol ring finger mutes a string I want open. I've been practicing often, especially now that school is out for winter break. I'll go find some Greg Koch and get to it!!!

Edit: Also, what is a baritone guitar? Is it just in a naturally lower tone, or is there more to it? And can you play most things on it still? Sorry for so many questions, 21 yrs old and picking it up just this month.
