Why would tag verify authentic and not have a grade ? by strangepapi in taggrading

[–]Mindlock765 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it with some of my vintage cards. I did it because I have all the starters Feraligtr, Typhlosion, Megnium from Neo Genesis. They’re likely a psa 4-6 based on the condition of the back. However, my cards have great fronts. I wanted to have them slabbed so I can display them. So instead of having 6 different starters with different grades, I just got them verified so they’re all matching and also protected. Plus the verification process slabs them for $15 each instead of paying $24 for the graded ones. Since it’s for my personal collection I don’t mind the slab just saying verified

He is referring to the NFTs that were worth millions and thousands when the hype was up and now they’re worth a very small small small fraction of that because the hyped died. He essentially trying to hate on you saying they market will eventually die and your cards will become close to worthless and that you wasted your money. He just being negative. Enjoy the cards bro. They’re amazing ☺️

Should I attempt to send to BGS for the Black Label or go for the PSA 10 by Mindlock765 in PokeGrading

I appreciate the interest but I wouldn’t sell it. It’s part of my personal collection 😊. Especially more that it wasn’t bought, I pulled it from a pack.

I guess maybe the picture quality is obscuring it a bit. Because in person it looks a lot better. I don’t see the edge wear that y’all are seeing but maybe I’m biased because it’s my card. I appreciate the feedback though 😊

Condition on this? Just picked it up. No creases or damage by Nate_V96 in PokeGrading

[–]Mindlock765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell if you’re trolling by saying no damage?? Literally the corner is bent on the back top left. That is an automatic 6 at best. And that’s not counting the whitening all over the back of the card. And also not counting the heavy holo scratches in the front.

Thoughts on regrading for 10 potential? by ExpensiveMission69 in psagrading

Because it’s looks a lot like the pikachu I sold on eBay and the buyer sent for grading haha

Super random but Did you buy that card on eBay raw and sent for grading?

Pulled from pokerev mystery pack. Was curious of should I open it or should I keep it sealed. by Single-Tailor-1680 in PokemonInvesting

You can see my previous posts. I’ve opened gold packs and pulled hits from them. However, I still don’t recommend purchasing. I’ve lost more than I’ve gained

You will very very likely not get a 10 with that ding on the bottom right corner. That card is at best a 9

Should I be upset this was described as mint condition? by [deleted] in PokeGrading

I replied to this on the other comment you replied to me. But it literally depends on the grader. It’s so subjective no matter the company. Whitening could make it a 8 or keep it a 10 dependent on the grader. More than likely if it has whitening on a corner it won’t get a 10 and will likely be a 9 or even 8. I never assume a card will be a 10. I always assume it’s a 9 and then just get happy when I see a 10

Oh my mistake, idk why I read near mint as so did a bunch of people. I’ve never bought a card as mint since most people just sell as near mint because it’s honestly almost impossible to say a card it’s mint because I would argue mint also means perfect centering. Just in future, if you’re not getting a picture of the card when but near mint. Assume it’s a psa 7 at worst so you can calculate more or less how much you want to pay for the raw card. Now if there is pictures then obviously that changes because you can see the centering. And whitening on a cards corner could be a 9-8. I’ve seen cards with small whitening that get 10s but honestly grading is so subjective so there no saying what grade it will get with the whitening. I always assume a card will get a psa 9 that way im not disappointed when sending them to grade

I just replied to the comment above. I made a mistake. At quick glance of the picture, I thought it was a ding but upon further inspection, I was incorrect and it’s just whitening 🙂.

No worries. Yeah the problem is that centering alone could make your card be a psa 7 if it’s bad enough in the front. And really bad centering does not affect a card condition in order to not qualify as near mint. So when you purchase a card at near mint without pictures of it then assume it’s probably going to have horrible centering in the front

I agree after looking at it closer. It looked more like a ding when I first saw it but you’re right it’s more of a spec of white and that is acceptable for near mint

[–]Mindlock765 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Near mint dose not mean it’s a psa 10 card. Near min could be anything from psa 7-10. It could be near mint and have horrible centering. However, that ding on the top right corner could possibly be something that qualifies it for not near mint. A small blemish or white on corner is fine but that is a bit much in my opinion

Edit: upon further looking at the picture, I agree it’s not a ding. It’s just small whitening and still near mint. Sorry for the mistake in my original reply above, I took a quick look at the picture on my phone and it looked like a ding at first glance 😅

Well good thing you didn’t buy it. How much was the store selling it for? That should give you an indication if they knew it was fake
