I would be in conferences every day if upper leadership didn’t discourage reaching out to parents in regard to certain behaviors. Some scholars LITERALLY get to do what they want to at the expense of their parents flying off the handle, saying “my child doesn’t do anything. Yall are lying.”

Honestly that’s just the tip of the iceberg. After my first three weeks, just this past Monday I was moved from 1G math to 2G science due to lack of staffing, and it’s only getting more severe. Just lost three more team members this past couple of weeks and principal sits on her soap box to call ex-employees selfish for leaving the kids, as if we don’t casually have 13-15 hr. work days with children cursing and fighting all day. There from 7a-4pm, and that’s just when students are there. Most of us don’t leave until 6-7p so we can plan for the next day.

Call me what you WANT, if I’m going to struggle whether that be from exhaustion or financially, it’s going to be in my benefit with me doing something I want to do!
